GOAL 3 is a social enterprise that has developed the IMPALA patient monitoring platform to support health workers in monitoring and managing their patients more effectively. IMPALA enables wards to switch from reactive ad-hoc responses to a proactive approach where each patient receives the appropriate care in time. We have regulatory approval in Rwanda, Malawi and Tanzania. By automating repetitive tasks and generating clinical insights, IMPALA unburdens health workers (91% experience reduced workload) while decreasing mortality (-42%) and admission time (-10%). Shape the future of healthcare in East Africa

As Country Manager, you'll be the architect of GOAL 3's presence in Tanzania, working directly with our CEO to establish and scale our commercial operations by engaging with Tanzania's stakeholders and leveraging strategic distributor partnerships. This role offers an extraordinary opportunity to build an efficient, distributor-based operation while potentially expanding your influence across East Africa.

Your impact

• Strategic leadership: Partner with our CEO to develop the blueprint for distributor-led country expansion and scalable local business models
• Relationship management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key hospitals, government bodies, and healthcare partners and drive demand for and adoption of the IMPALA system
• Regulatory compliance: Ensure full compliance with local (healthcare) regulations and maintain necessary certifications
• Financial stewardship: Manage budgets and resources to drive sustainable growth and profitability through our distributor network
• Distributor relations & optimization: Build, nurture and monitor strong partnerships with commercial and service distributors to ensure exceptional service delivery and business growth

Growth trajectory

Your success in this role could lead to expanded responsibilities across East Africa. Strong performers will have the opportunity to evolve into an East Africa Director role, overseeing operations in Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, and Kenya.

What you'll bring

• A self-starting and entrepreneurial mindset to drive success
• A team-player with excellent communication skills to facilitate seamless collaboration with international and local partners
• Track record of building and maintaining successful business partnerships in Tanzania
• Strong experience and network within Tanzania's healthcare sector
• Commercial acumen with experience in the health sector, preferably medical technology or electronic health information systems
• Outstanding relationship management and negotiation skills
• Proven experience managing partners and/or program management, in healthcare or medical devices industry
• Fluency in English and Swahili
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently (1-2 weeks per month)
• Must be legally authorized to work in Tanzania

The ideal candidate will also have

• Experience in working in the Tanzanian health sector with high level stakeholder engagement
• A good understanding of emergency and critical care and working in hospital settings
• Success in implementing service delivery through partner networks and/or program management
• Experience in healthcare service delivery or medical device sector
• Background in partner performance management and optimization
