    Beagle Freedom Project (BFP), a 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue and advocacy organization, whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, re-home and advocate for animals used in animal testing experimentation. BFP also rescues and advocates for other special needs animals and works tirelessly to end the archaic use and abuse of animals in many forms of exploitation through legislative efforts, education and outreach initiatives.

    The Social Media Manager role requires commitment to BFP’s mission and values.

    Duties will generally include:

    • Serve as the organization’s social lead, developing and executing social strategy with a goal to increase engagement and improve organic social traffic to the website
    • Stay up-to-date on new social media tools to best leverage trends relevant to Beagle Freedom Project
    • Maintain a consistent voice for the organization across all social media channels
    • Execute social content calendar for the organization, including developing content concepts from idea to execution.
      • Engage with the BFP social following to drive conversations, ensuring BFP-related questions, comments, and opportunities are addressed with speed and good judgment
      • Efficient multi-tasker that is highly organized and able to prioritize
      • Creative thinker with the ability to successfully follow through on and execute new ideas
      • A keen eye for strong, creative aesthetics
      • Monitor analytics and adapt content strategy accordingly
      • Strong writing, grammar, and editorial skills as well as verbal and visual communication
      • Flexibility and willingness to work outside “normal office hours” as needed
      • Suggest promotion and campaign ideas based on what's been successful on social media
      • Advise on influencer engagement and partnerships
      • Work closely with other staff on campaigns, merchandise store, and animal updates
      • Post social media content daily, multiple times a day on all socials medial outlets, respond to social media DM's, post stories, like and comment on other social media accounts to engage and expand visibility, share relevant comments with departments and more.
      • Work with various social media software platforms for engagement: Meltwater, Hootsuite and others with various department: Nation Builder, ShelterLuv, Sustain, Canvas, etc.
    • Other work-related duties as may be assigned.
