    Description

    The Senior Director of Development oversees and executes a comprehensive fundraising strategy at the McGaw YMCA, including the annual giving program, major gift portfolio, and planned giving initiatives. This role will build relationships with donors, foster stewardship, and drive revenue to support the organization’s mission and long-term sustainability. The Senior Director of Development collaborates closely with McGaw YMCA leadership to align efforts and achieve fundraising goals.

    This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. It requires an individual with a deep commitment to diversity and inclusion, access, and equity.

    Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, communications, or related field; advanced degree or fundraising certification preferred (e.g., CFRE).
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, with a proven track record in annual giving, major gifts, and planned giving.
    • Demonstrated success in cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals and securing significant gifts.
    • Proficiency in donor database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge) and data-driven fundraising strategies.
    • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.
