    About Us: ChromaDiverse, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to preserving and managing digital assets with our innovative CD DigitalVault™, a trademarked Digital Asset Management System customized for performing arts organizations. We work closely with arts organizations to ensure their digital archives are secure, accessible, and well-organized.

    Position Overview: We are seeking a results-driven, tech-savvy Development Manager to lead and execute our development strategies, securing financial support to help sustain our mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising plan, overseeing donor development and stewardship, and managing various revenue streams, including major gifts, individual donations, and corporate/business partnerships. This role requires a strong communicator with exceptional strategic and executional skills to engage donors and stakeholders in meaningful and impactful ways.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Development Systems and Reporting
      • Set up and manage CRM database to support development activities.
      • Track donor profiles, donation history, pledges, and communications.
      • Prepare regular development reports and presentations for leadership team.
    • Strategic Planning and Leadership
      • Work closely with Executive Leadership, Board Members, and staff to establish fundraising goals and priorities.
      • Develop and oversee a Development Plan to secure major gifts, individual donors and business partnerships through multi-channel strategies.
      • Participate in board training to ensure enthusiastic involvement in the organization’s fundraising activities.
      • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts, adjust as necessary.
      • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on fundraising trends and associated technologies.
    • Major Gifts
      • Research and prioritize donor prospects with interests in performing arts, cultural preservation, and archiving.
      • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective donors, ensuring deep understanding of their philanthropic interests, promoting long-term engagement and retention.
      • Write, produce and present customized donor solicitation materials.
    • Individual Donor
      • Design and execute regular fundraising campaigns, appeals, acknowledgement efforts
      • Responsible for lead development
      • Coordinate with Marketing to integrate fundraising messaging in ongoing marketing and communications channels (e.g. website, e-newsletter, social media, etc.)
      • Develop and implement innovative approaches for virtual and in-person fundraising and stewardship events.
      • Recruit and manage any volunteers needed to support fundraising activities.
    • Corporate/Business
      • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities through business partnerships, sponsorships, and other sources as appropriate.
      • Write compelling proposals and oversee submission process.
      • Cultivate and manage business partnerships and sponsorships to enhance fundraising efforts.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fundraising or development role. This can include fundraising in board capacity with an established non-profit.
    • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing, communications or related field (preferred).
    • Proven track record of successful, multichannel development campaigns directed at individual donors, major gifts and institutional philanthropy.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire a variety of audiences.
    • Passion for the mission and values of ChromaDiverse.
    • Self-motivator, driven to achieve goals and overcome challenges.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with donors, staff and other stakeholders. Comfortable making the “ask” of major donors.
    • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
    • High level of proficiency with development software, and/or other CRM systems, Stripe or payment processor database, Microsoft 365 Office suite, Canva, and project management tools.

    Benefits

      • We offer a competitive hourly pay rate for this contractor role, with 30-40 hours per week. Annual pay can range from $90,000 - $130,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
