    Job Summary:

    The Donor Engagement Coordinator provides proactive and effective support to enhance the Development Team’s activities, including the cultivation and stewardship of donors and funders. This role works closely with the Manager of Development, as well as the Director of Philanthropy and Major Gifts Officer, to assist with communications for donor audiences.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Work with frontline fundraisers to design and create stewardship materials across donor types, including donor reports, templates, decks, one pagers and thank yous.
    • Monitor the development team's general email inbox and phone, responding to donor requests and inquiries.
    • Monitor and update donor recognition plan that promptly and accurately acknowledges all giving levels.
    • Manage the execution of email and print communications to current and prospective supporters, including donor reports, fundraising appeals and end-of-year campaigns.
    • Collaborate with Creative and Marketing on donor-centric content for social media.
    • Create content for the monthly donor program of ~6,000 individual supporters, including the “Freedom Funders” monthly newsletter.
    • Contribute content to and support the distribution of the organization’s annual report.
    • Work closely with the Development Database Administrator to provide support with data entry.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    You are driven, highly organized, and have a deep commitment to The Bail Project’s mission to eliminate race- and wealth-based disparities in our criminal justice system. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working independently or in a team-based setting. To work in this organization, you will be required to work with people who have been directly impacted by the carceral system, including folks who have prior records.

    • 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, marketing, or related work (required)
    • Experience designing compelling materials including graphic design and PowerPoint presentations
    • Strong interpersonal skills with a strength in nurturing relationships
    • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
    • Experience working across teams to manage multiple assignments with firm deadlines
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences
    • Familiarity with Salesforce a plus (or similar CRM system)
    • Familiarity with Pardot a plus (or similar email marketing platform)
    • Commitment to approaching the work through a racial justice and equity lens

    This is a full-time non-exempt, in-unit position.
