• Activities Coordinator for Independent Older Adults

Part-time, 18 hours per week

Starting date: 11.1.2024

Kaiserman JCC, Gems @ the J, seeks a creative and organized person who can develop programs/activities, run discussion groups and bring their own special talents for seniors in three locations in Northeast Philadelphia.

Programs meet three times a week. On site hours during the day are approximately 10:30 am-2pm. The rest of your time will be spent planning and scheduling activities, prepping for classes, purchasing arts and crafts supplies, snacks, prizes, etc. A car is required for this position to pick up numerous supplies for the programs.

We are looking for someone who loves to be with older adults, as the staff is as important to the success of this program as the actual program itself.

Gems seeks a candidate with great enthusiasm, who likes to get people involved, up and dancing and smiling during your time with them. One year of programming experience with older adults is preferred. Average computer skills required. Equipment for a home office will be provided.

Salary-$23-25 per hour depending on experience.
