    Position: Housing Stability Coordinator (This is not a Remote position)

    Reports to: Program Director

    Department: Programs

    Location: This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two in-office day per week. Applicants must reside in LA County and have reliable transportation to our offices and event locations. Paid parking is provided for employees. NCJW|LA reserves the right to adjust work arrangements, including transitioning to full-time in-office work.

    Hours: Hybrid, Full-time, Non-Exempt, 37.5 hours per week, including some evenings and weekend hours as needed.

    Position Objective: To enhance the effectiveness of NCJW|LA's Housing Stability programs by increasing participant engagement, expanding program offerings, and improving program outcomes.

    General Duties and Responsibilities

    The Housing Stability Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of NCJW|LA's Housing Stability programs. This includes managing the application process for participants, determining eligibility for assistance, providing case management support, and overseeing the delivery of program services.

    The Coordinator will play a crucial role in building strong relationships with community partners and conducting outreach activities to identify eligible participants. They will collect and analyze data on program outcomes, prepare reports, and track program performance to measure program impact. The Coordinator will also assist with grant reports and contribute to fundraising efforts to secure funding for program operations. Additionally, they will perform various administrative tasks, such as maintaining accurate records and data, scheduling appointments, responding to inquiries, and managing program emails and voicemail boxes.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Program Development and Improvement:

    • Oversee and refine existing programs, such as Rental Assistance and Clothing Assistance, to optimize efficiency and impact.
    • Identify opportunities to expand program offerings to address emerging needs within the community.
    • Develop and implement strategies to evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.

    Participant Engagement and Support:

    • Manage the application process for Housing Stability programs, ensuring timely reviews and decisions.
    • Build strong relationships with participants, providing personalized support and guidance throughout the program.
    • Facilitate workshops and educational sessions to empower participants and increase their self-sufficiency.
    • Oversee and manage program emails and voicemail boxes to ensure timely and effective communication with participants.

    Data Management and Reporting:

    • Collect, analyze, and report on key performance indicators, such as participant demographics, program utilization rates, and outcomes.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of participant interactions, case notes, and program data.
    • Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, including funders and board members.

    Community Outreach and Partnerships:

    • Develop and implement outreach strategies to identify and engage eligible participants.
    • Collaborate with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to expand program reach and resources.
    • Represent NCJW|LA at community events and conferences to raise awareness of the organization's mission and programs.
    • Collaborate with other departments within the organization to support program goals and objectives.

    Other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned to support the overall mission of NCJW|LA.

    Key Qualifications & Skills

    • Minimum of two years of experience in social services, case management, or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of housing issues, poverty, and economic inequality.
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and data analysis tools.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate kindly and effectively with diverse populations.
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

    Other Requirements:

    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
    • Successful completion of a background check.

    The non-profit Housing Stability Coordinator hourly rate ranges between $17.00 and $34.00 hourly.
