    About Us

    Anthos|Home is an innovative new nonprofit that will transform the system by which New York City residents with housing subsidies locate and rent available housing. Anthos|Home is modeled on Brilliant Corners in California, a successful housing clearinghouse that uses a flexible pool of funding to administer and quickly find apartments for tenants. Anthos|Home will help to streamline the apartment search, approval, and move-in processes and fill in gaps in the current NYC voucher housing market process. The organization will be a game-changer for New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness and for the public systems that serve them.

    The Role

    The Housing Acquisition Repairs & Lease Specialist will report to the Housing Operations Supervisor and work closely with landlords, tenants, and internal teams to ensure timely repairs, smooth lease signings, and accurate data tracking.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor repair agreements and conduct weekly check-ins with landlords on owner-responsible repairs.
    • Perform verification walkthroughs and conduct ARC and HQS inspections.
    • Maintain accurate repair data in Salesforce and update unit records for client viewings.
    • Coordinate with the Operations team if Anthos|Home needs to conduct repairs.
    • Communicate inspection findings to Housing Acquisition and Operations teams.
    • Collect keys from property providers.
    • Submit proposed lease agreements to legal counsel for review and approval.
    • Convert approved lease agreements into fillable PDFs and ensure Salesforce and SharePoint are updated.
    • Prepare lease paperwork, verifying tenant and landlord details, terms, and prices.
    • Schedule and conduct lease signings, guiding tenants through the leasing process.
    • Ensure completed paperwork is sent to landlords for countersignature and uploaded into Salesforce.
    • Provide weekly reports to the VP of Housing Acquisition.
    • Perform other duties as needed.

    Qualifications and Skills

    The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for housing solutions.

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 3+ years of experience in housing or human services.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
    • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Willingness to travel for inspections and meetings.
    • Passion for Anthos|Home’s mission and ability to work in a diverse environment.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Competitive starting salary: $65,000 - $70,000/year (dependent upon experience)
    • Hybrid work environment (3-5 days in office/field per week)
