    Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. We work every day for a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families. The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth, and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville, and seek to deliver programs that are impactful, innovative, and intergenerational.

    Program Description: Goddard Riverside’s Manhattanville (MNVL) Resource Center is a social service hub located in West Harlem in the MNVL NYCHA development, and which exclusively serves its residents. The MNVL Resource Center helps low-income individuals and families access and receive entitlements, benefits and resources. The MNVL Resource Center also offers an array of services including but not limited to, benefits screening, financial counseling, legal consultation and referrals to support services in the community and citywide.

    Position Summary: The Program Coordinator is responsible for integrating services, staff support, and assuming overall leadership of MNVL/Resource Center in the absence of the Assistant Program Director and Program Director.

    Schedule: Monday- Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Occasional evening/weekend hours may be required

    Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000

    Role, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties

    • Oversee the delivery of social services and community programming to residents.
    • Work collaboratively with NYCHA and the PACT team to develop a service coordination model that connects residents to services that are available to Section 8 households and any other services or programming identified by residents.
    • Develop a plan for conducting referrals to the Family Self Sufficient program, using NYCHA’s Opportunity Connect portal and succession systems.
    • Report metrics on all services provided to the residents.
    • Meet with management and development partners regularly.
    • Meet with Tenant Association members/resident leaders.
    • Facilitate focus groups and job fairs.
    • Provide guidance to onsite staff regarding program goals, share relevant data, and facilitate communication to support residents’ needs.

    Outreach Services

    • Coordinate and manage all outreach operations, ensuring the successful implementation of marketing and engagement efforts to connect with tenants.
    • Oversee the logistics and operational aspects of outreach initiatives related to Education and Workforce Development for residents.
    • Organize and manage on- and off-site activities, and workshops for residents, including scheduling, securing resources (space, food, etc.), and ensuring smooth execution.
    • Plan and execute community-building events and capacity-building activities to promote engagement within the MNVL complex.
    • Represent the MNVL Resource Center at external events such as tabling events, Community Board meetings, activities hosted by elected officials, and local CBO events.
    • Manage and contribute to special projects, ensuring all operational components are addressed.

    Resource Center Team Member

    • Collaborate with Case Managers and outreach workers to ensure cohesive program delivery and effective residents support.
    • Attend staff meetings, community meetings, case conferences, training programs and supervision meetings; participate in program evaluation and improvement
    • Provide guidance to staff on day-to-day operations and client case issues

    Qualifications/Educational Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in human services, psychology
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Experience working with low-income populations
    • Knowledge of government benefits
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong Communication skills
    • Team player

    Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook, Word, Excel
    • Able to use or learn electronic databases such as Single Stop

    Physical Requirements

    • Occasional lifting of up to 30lbs
    • Frequent walking and standing

    • On site work.
    • Work site is located in West Harlem on MNVL NYCHA development.
