Guardian Partners trains Volunteer Monitors to review existing adult guardianship cases throughout Oregon as appointed by county Probate Courts. Our goal is to ensure that vulnerable populations are safe and being treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Volunteer Monitors interview Guardians, Professionals, and meet in-person with the adult under guardianship. Acting as the eyes and ears of the Court, volunteers complete a report with resources, recommendations, or court intervention as needed. Our Monitoring program is a critical part of Guardian Partners’ work preventing abuse and protecting adults with cognitive impairment, developmental disabilities, and the elderly.
Due to expansion, Guardian Partners is hiring full-time for a Southern Oregon Monitoring Specialist II located in either Jackson, Josephine, Deschutes or Douglas County. As well as contributing to all aspects of the program, the Monitoring Specialist II will be charged with volunteer recruitment within Southern Oregon, training and supervision of volunteers, community outreach and exposure, travel to recruitment events, will develop a Southern Oregon resource list, and will maintain a portfolio of own guardianship case reviews. Remote work and travel required. Counties of travel include: Lane, Jackson, Josephine, Deschutes and Douglas (with more counties to be added).
