Salary: $77,000 – $105,000, commensurate with experience
Job Summary: The Deputy Legislative Director is tasked with executing federal and state legislative strategies. In this role, the Deputy Director will provide reliable legal policy analyses and will work with the Vice President of Public Affairs, Legislative Director, internal partners, coalition groups, and other political stakeholders to promote pro-democracy reforms and fight voter suppression and pro-dark money policies.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate degree and at least 5-7 years of experience, including multiple years of Capitol Hill experience in legislative or committee contexts. A deep background in legal policy analysis, and in the legislative processes, along with the ability to track and analyze relevant policy developments, are essential. Strong relationship-building skills, with a proven track record of working effectively with lawmakers, political stakeholders, and coalition partners, are critical. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare policy briefs, talking points, and represent the organization in public forums, are required for success in this role. Job Location: This is a remote position, but the Deputy Legislative Director must be located in the DMV area and have the ability to attend meetings and events in Washington, D.C., on a daily basis. Regular work-related travel is required.
