    Peru Volunteer and Travel from Cusco is seeking a full time volunteer coordinator. This position will help support the Volunteer Program in Cusco City. The selected individual will be responsible for the daily management of this program including, training, volunteer placement, and volunteer recognition. The coordinator will be actively involved with volunteers, volunteer locations, and community organizations.

    Essential Duties:

    • Daily management support of Volunteer Programs and transfers
    • Understand program policies and Volunteer Program administrative requirements to ensure compliance.
    • Coordinate recruiting, selecting, enrolling, orienting, training, recognizing and placing volunteers with community partners.
    • Supervise all volunteers to efficiently develop and carry out activities of the program
    • Provide ongoing training and support to volunteers.
    • Supports development, training, and coordination of partnerships and program activities with local community partners
    • Develop and maintain close coordinated relationships with volunteer stations, including the development of volunteer assignment plans.
    • Assess appropriateness and performance of volunteer stations
    • Maintain appropriate program and volunteer records and reports in accordance with PV Travel guidelines and requirements
    • Market and communicate the Volunteer Program and services to the public
    • Manage the volunteer programs social media accounts
    • Perform other work duties and responsibilities as required.

    Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

    • Interest in and energy for volunteerism and community building.

    Solid organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through in an independent, responsible manner.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
    • Skilled at facilitation and system collaboration, information sharing, and team building.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills.
    • Ability and willingness to travel to various locations throughout the country.

    Job Type:

    Full-time

    Benefits:

    Schedule:

    • 8 hour shift Monday to Friday
    • 4 hours Saturdays.

    Ability to commute/relocate:

    • Planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

    Experience:

    • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)

    Commitment:

    • One year minimum commitment.
