About the Pathways to Protection (P2P) Programme The Pathways to Protection (P2P) Consortium, led by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in collaboration with the Danish Red Cross (Danish RC) and the International Detention Coalition (IDC), seeks to strengthen protection services and policy frameworks for migrants along the Mediterranean migration routes. This five-year initiative, funded by the DANIDA, focuses on delivering rights-based services, building local capacity, and promoting sustainable migration pathways.
Role Purpose
The P2P Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating IDC’s contributions to the P2P programme across the MENA region, Africa, Europe and our global advocacy engagement. This role focuses on programme management, monitoring and evaluation (MEL), relationship building and policy advocacy, and will serve as a key IDC representative to the P2P Consortium Management Unit based in Tunis. The Project Coordinator will ensure IDC’s expertise in migrant protection, safe migration pathways, and ATD effectively contributes to the programme.
Role Summary
The P2P Project Coordinator will lead and coordinate IDC’s contributions to the Pathways to Protection (P2P) Consortium, ensuring effective implementation of IDC’s work across its MENA, Africa and Europe programmes and in alignment with IDC’s global advocacy strategy and consortium objectives. As IDC’s key operational representative in the consortium, the Project Coordinator will focus on programme management, ensuring timely delivery of activities, effective collaboration across regional and global teams, collaboration with the Consortium Management Unit and other consortium partners and adherence to donor requirements. A core aspect of the role will be overseeing Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) processes, tracking progress against key indicators, and supporting reporting and knowledge-sharing efforts. In addition, the Project Coordinator will play a key role in advancing advocacy priorities within the programme, alongside IDC’s Executive Director and key Regional Managers, ensuring that evidence and learning from the project inform national, regional, and global policy discussions on migrant protection, safe pathways and ATD. The role requires strong programme management, MEL, and stakeholder coordination skills, along with excellent relationship building and experience in targeted policy advocacy to effectively bridge implementation and strategic engagement in support of sustainable migration pathways.
