    Title: Assistant Director, Training Systems

Department: Public Affairs - Washington, DC Office

Reports to: Director, Programs and Training, Center on Aging, Trauma, and Holocaust Survivor Care

Location: Washington, DC, New York City, NY, or Remote

Job Type: Full-Time (Hybrid or Fully Remote)

    Organization Overview:

The Jewish Federations of North America (“JFNA”) consist of 146 Jewish Federations and dozens of Network communities which collectively raise and distribute more than $3 billion annually to support flourishing Jewish life and the needs of the Jewish people in their home communities and around the world. The Jewish Federation system, among the top 10 charities on the continent, leads the largest network of volunteer and professional leaders who build and sustain Jewish communities that are healthy, safe, caring, welcoming and inclusive, educated and engaged, involved in the broader community, and deeply connected to Israel and the global Jewish people.

The Center on Aging, Trauma, and Holocaust Survivor Care (“Center”), housed within JFNA, is a leading voice in the U.S. on the person-centered, trauma informed (PCTI) approach and support services for Holocaust survivors, diverse older adults with a history of trauma (e.g., immigrants, veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals), and their family caregivers. We advance PCTI programming nationwide by issuing grants to local Jewish and non-Jewish social services agencies to implement innovative projects, providing technical assistance and capacity building to subgrantees and the aging network at large, and advocating on behalf of the needs of vulnerable older adults.

    Position Summary:

The Center will launch its first online, asynchronous learning experience in the winter of 2025 titled, Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed Essentials for Aging Services. This course includes six hours of content composed of readings, videos, and exercises which include group discussions, reflections, scenarios, evaluations, and knowledge assessments. Through the course, the Center seeks to build capacity of aging services professionals and volunteers to provide PCTI support for older adults with a history of trauma and their family caregivers.

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Director include 1) launching and maintaining all aspects of this new course; 2) managing the Eurekos Learning Management System; 3) ensuring effective learner engagement and compliance; and 4) supporting the Center’s educational programs and training initiatives. Course success will be measured by a combination of course completion, learner satisfaction, and increased engagement metrics.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Management & Oversight:

    • Strategic Planning: Collaborate across teams to provide strategic guidance on the direction and growth of the Center’s educational programs and training initiatives, including but not limited to the Center’s new online course.
    • Project Management: Develop and implement workplans, timelines, and staff assignments for the online course with the Director of Programs and Training.
    • Financial Oversight: Create and manage the course’s budget, invoicing, and other finances in coordination with the Director of Programs and Training and the Advisor, Financial Oversight.
    • Supervision: Recruit, hire, collaborate with, and oversee vendors/consultants working on the course, ensuring the quality and timeliness of projects.
    • Operations: Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOP) for the course and draft a corresponding SOP manual.

    Enrollment & Certification:

    • Manage Learner Enrollments: Oversee and streamline the enrollment process, ensuring accurate data entry and tracking within the Learning Management System (LMS) and Salesforce CRM. Work on integrations between the LMS and CRM.

    • Certification Tracking: Develop and maintain systems for tracking Continuing Education (CE) awards and ensuring JFNA compliance with certification requirements.

    Learner Support:

    • Technical Assistance: Respond promptly and empathetically to learner technical requests and issues, adhering to PCTI standards.
    • Support Systems: Develop and maintain support systems, including ticketing and reporting mechanisms, to manage and resolve learner inquiries efficiently.
    • Escalation Protocols: Establish escalation paths for resolving complex learner issues, ensuring they are tracked and addressed in a timely manner.
    • Partner Communication: Collaborate with organizational partners to handle registration requests and resolve any related issues.

    Course Management:

    • Content Updates: Identify and implement updates to content in coordination with Center researchers and based on learner feedback and performance data.
    • Course Maintenance: Implement course updates in the LMS, working closely with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.

    • Content Protection: Work in consultation with colleagues to copyright the course.

    Reporting & Analytics:

    • Learner Engagement: Monitor and report on learner engagement, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement.
    • Performance Metrics: Prepare and present detailed reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as learner satisfaction, course completion rates, and technical issue resolution times.
