We have an outstanding opportunity for a Revenue Accountant (Accountant 2) to manage all incoming revenue to properly allocate and reconcile to various GLs. This position must interpret moderately complex accounting functions such as evaluating regular and recurring financial transactions, investigating discrepancies and streamlining reconciliation processes.
Key responsibilities of this role include recording and reconciling changes in our accounting systems and maintaining general ledger and subledger records and other revenue-related transactions. Additionally, they handle daily revenue entries, create financial reports, preparing month-end closing entries, and maintaining accurate revenue documentation.

A successful Revenue Accountant will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, diverse work environment, supporting KUOW staff in their financial needs. Ideally, the Revenue Accountant will have a solid base knowledge of relevant GAAP principles, the ability to think critically to interpret moderately complex accounting functions, and possess enthusiasm to learn and grow.
Collaboration and outstanding customer service are keys to building and supporting the internal and external relationships critical to this role’s success. Also essential is the ability to balance responding to daily incoming revenue streams with a focus on longer-term “always audit-ready” improvement projects, as well as skills in managing time effectively, working independently, and taking initiative.
