Movin’ Out is a thriving 30-year old, statewide nonprofit organization that advances disability justice by co-creating safe, affordable, community-integrated homes. As a HUD-approved housing counseling agency, we currently offer information, advice, referrals, and resources for home ownership, and home repair for safety and accessibility. In addition, we provide financial literacy training, credit counseling, and rental housing counseling. Additionally, Movin’ Out offers rental housing for households with low to moderate incomes. We develop new multi-family housing with most units affordable for low-to moderate-income households, and coordinate services for residents of our supportive units. We primarily serve income-qualified households that include a person who has a permanent disability of any kind, whether intellectual, physical, or mental health.
The Resident Services Coordinator holistically supports the health and wellbeing of rental residents for greater independence, successful tenancy, and housing stability to improve long-term outcomes. This is accomplished by building trusted relationships–responding as needs arise and proactively through coordinating the Community Impact Program. The Community Impact program supports resident-led activities that build social capital through the values and practices of Asset-Based Community Development and social innovation. The Resident Services Coordinator helps to ensure compliance with HUD requirements, Fair Housing laws, and other relevant rules and regulations, and maintains privacy and confidentiality.

This is a hybrid position. The Resident Services Coordinator works from a remote location/home office, in our Madison office, and on site at Movin’ Out rental properties and apartment projects throughout Wisconsin (currently mostly in the southern half of the state). Occasional local and/or regional overnight travel and occasional evenings/weekends may be required. This role reports to the Asset Management Director.
The starting annual salary for this position is $52,500 - $57,500.
