    ABOUT US

At Founders Pledge, our mission is to empower entrepreneurs to do immense good. Since launching in 2015, we’ve raised over $10 billion for the most impactful social causes. We offer the simplest path to impact for successful entrepreneurs, providing end-to-end giving infrastructure, pioneering research, and access to a worldwide network of experts. In other words, we help tech leaders become strategic philanthropists. Our 1900+ members include the people behind industry-leading companies such as Airbnb, UiPath, Dropbox, Skype, Spotify, and Uber.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re now looking for an IT & Data Administrator to join our Tech team! Our Tech team is responsible for the successful implementation and effective use of technology to best support our work (amongst other things!). This includes making sure that our hardware and applications are used effectively and securely, in line with data protection requirements. You’ll report to our Interim Director of Product and Tech, and be responsible for supporting our global team. This is a brilliant opportunity to super-charge our IT administration and data protection processes, improving our current procedures and helping to create new ones.

In your first 6 months you’ll:

    • Take ownership of our endpoint management; using our MDM and RMM tools to ensure our endpoints are effectively and efficiently managed.
    • Be responsible for our Google Workspace account, managing users, permissions, and data, whilst also leading a project to migrate seamlessly to a new domain.
    • Take control of our IT asset inventory management including ownership of our fixed asset register, all hardware and physical storage.
    • Work with our Senior Risk & Compliance Officer to mitigate cyber security risk. This will include implementing changes needed across all of our IT systems. This could include training staff and enforcing cyber security policies and best practices.
    • Take over technical onboarding and offboarding which includes setting up laptops, posting them to new joiners, and making sure we get laptops back when people leave. You’ll train new joiners on how to use our apps on their first day.
    • Become the primary point of tech support for international staff. At the same time, you’ll make sure our users are empowered out of UK hours, while minimizing any associated risk. This will include identifying super users and managing admin access to our systems.

    ABOUT YOU

Overall, we’re looking for somebody with a can-do attitude who takes genuine satisfaction in resolving other people’s IT issues. You’ll love tech and learning how new systems work. You might have experience in a professional capacity or in your own time.

    You’re likely to have:

    • A wide interest in technology – you’re OS agnostic (we have equal numbers of Mac and Windows users at FP!) and you love digging into a broad range of systems and apps (we primarily use Google Workspace, Front, Dropbox, Slack, Notion).
    • A curious mindset! If you don’t know how something works, you always explore and figure it out.
    • A natural ability to solve problems remotely.
    • A passion for making sure that things run as well as they can – you enjoy finding the best solution to complex IT requirements.

You might have some of the following:

    • Experience in a stand-alone role or as part of a small team, providing hardware and software support internationally to distributed teams.
    • IT asset management experience.
    • Been a ‘master admin’ in a previous role, providing associated support to your org. You know the ins and outs of most systems and what you don’t know, you find out.
    • Knowledge of international data privacy and security regulations and best practices.
    • Experience managing third-party systems for an organization and you know best practice within this.

    WHY WORK WITH US?

You can find more about the benefits we offer here, but what makes us truly special is both our mission and our people. We’re a diverse team, from both charitable and commercial backgrounds, who believe that amazing things can happen when we tackle problems together. We offer a flat structure and an opportunity to help shape the future of philanthropy.

We ask that all applicants for this role be based within commutable distance of London. You’ll need to attend our London Bridge office at least twice per week. Otherwise, you can work from home, you just need a great wifi connection and we’ll provide you with everything else you need to be successful in your role.

On top of this, we’ll bring the global team together once per year and individual teams will meet to work together once per year!

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at Founders Pledge. We seek people with different strengths, experiences, and backgrounds, who share our drive to understand and solve complex social challenges. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Finding solutions to the world’s most pressing problems requires different perspectives and unique ways of thinking and we are committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can do their best work.
