Accounting Manager

We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this position will lead be expected to:

• Lead month end closing process which includes the review and analysis of key income statements and balance sheet accounts.
• Entering monthly journal entries as it relates to personal and fringe benefits, fixed assets, expense accounts and prepaid accounts.
• Oversee the accounts payable function which includes direct management of accounts payable clerk.
• Partner with the Treasury Manager to assist in cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations.
• Partner with Payroll Manager to reconcile monthly payroll against budgets and forecasts as it relates to resource allocations.
• Ensure accurate and complete timesheet information for the purpose of resource allocations
• Enhance existing procedures to provide more efficiency and effectiveness to current systems and spreadsheets.
• Assist with the annual budget and mid-year forecasting process.
• Support year-end financial audit.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
• Experience with enterprise software
• Experience in Not-For Profit a plus, but not required.
• Must be an independent thinker and have the ability to identify problems and provide solutions.
• Must be organized, detail oriented and demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills in both written and verbal
