Launched in 2007, the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools’ mission is to transform schools to revolutionize school systems, empowering all students with a high-quality education. The Partnership is a non-profit, in-district partner to LA Unified, not a charter network. As an independent nonprofit organization, the Partnership serves 13,550 students across 20 LA Unified schools in Boyle Heights, South Los Angeles, and Watts. The Partnership works within the LA Unified School District context, which includes honoring all collective bargaining agreements for its teachers and school staff. ABOUT THE POSITION

The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools is seeking a collaborative and communicative Project Management Associate to join the Curriculum Systems Advising (CSA) team. The Project Management Associate involves coordinating logistical and programmatic aspects of professional development for instructional coaches, teacher leaders, administrators, and school coaching initiatives across LAUSD. Responsibilities include organizing programming, using systems to ensure smooth logistics, and evaluating program success. The Project Management Associate will also collect and analyze data such as teacher observations, student achievement, and stakeholder feedback. Ideal candidates are problem solvers who can work independently while contributing to a team that manages student-centered math curricula.

The Partnership is committed to continuously building an anti-racist culture that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in classrooms and our home office. The Project Management Associate will be someone who is committed to implementing these values in creative ways when executing day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Program Logistics (50%)

    • Strengthen and optimize systems that ensure smooth execution of team in-person events, including booking venues, coordinating catering, managing materials, and handling technical/logistical requirements.
    • Collaborate with CSA team members to develop comprehensive quarterly project plans, clearly defining milestones and deliverables.
    • Proactively monitor project timelines and "manage up" by identifying potential roadblocks early, providing strategic solutions to keep projects on track.
    • Facilitate coordination across partner organizations by managing logistics for collaborative events and meetings.
    • Oversee the organization and maintenance of Google Drive, ensuring all CSA-created tools and resources are up to date and easily accessible.
    • Co-lead with CSA Coordinators and the Project Manager to plan and execute two bi-annual “step-back” events, which include data reviews, impact analysis, team-building activities, and social engagement opportunities.

    Data and Impact (30%)

    • Design and manage detailed surveys for CSA-led Professional Development initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
    • Lead all aspects of grant-related survey administration, data collection, and measurement needs, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting for funding compliance.
    • Conduct annual focus groups with key stakeholders (e.g., teachers, coaches, administrators) to collect qualitative feedback and assess the impact of CSA's support.
    • Oversee and troubleshoot school observation workbooks, ensuring data accuracy and completeness for school coaching and instructional improvement efforts.
    • Analyze school observation data to identify trends, surface key insights, and drive data-informed discussions within the team.

    Communication and External Sharing (20%)

    • Enhance the team's branding and visual identity by reviewing and improving strategic tools, presentation materials, and key documents with attention to graphic design and messaging.
    • Manage web-based platforms, including updating resources in the IM Toolkit and Educator Hub to ensure information is current and accessible to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with the policy and communications teams to produce two “school spotlight” publications annually, showcasing exemplary work at partner school sites and driving external engagement.
