    FSC Investments & Partnerships (FSC I&P) is seeking a Grant Manager. This position will manage processes and track workplans with the goal to ensure successful attainment, management and delivery on grants and service agreements. Fifty percent of the position is currently supporting a 2-year grant from the Government of Canada, while an additional twenty percent of tasks support an ISEAL Innovations Fund Project. Additional project management will support teams leading on coordination within the FSC network, relationship management, program execution and reporting.

    The Grant Manager, role is full-time and reports to FSC I&P’s Operations Team. Remote work is possible in this role, though preference will be given to applicants in the Seattle-area, where FSC I&P is based.

    About the Position

    We are looking for a mission-driven team player with experience in grant writing, program coordination, and project management, especially in the context of sustainability, environmental justice, sustainable finance, nature-based solutions and/or international development. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in managing complex grants from government agencies and philanthropic institutions. This position will serve as a key liaison between FSC I&P and its partners and donors, ensuring seamless communication, rigorous grant compliance, and timely reporting.

    You will be successful in this role if you are highly organized and detail oriented, enjoy seeing projects through, can effectively manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously, and are able to translate complex concepts into simplified content.

    Core Duties:

    Grants & Project Management

    • Identify and research new funding opportunities from public and private sources, maintaining a pipeline of prospects and contributing to institutional fundraising strategy.
    • Develop and write technical proposals, concept notes and reports for institutional funders, ensuring alignment with funder’s guidelines and FSC’s mission and strategies.
    • Lead the program and grant management of assigned project portfolios, ensuring deliverables are achieved in line with approved workplans, budgets, timelines, and donor expectations.
    • Track and manage grant deliverables and milestones using Salesforce and Asana, ensuring records are current and accessible for both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement systems for managing proposal submissions, donor communications, and grant compliance.
    • Coordinate with relevant Finance and Operations teams to ensure accurate budgeting, financial tracking, and invoicing related to grants and service agreements.
    • CrossTeam Collaboration & External Representation
    • Collaborate with international colleagues across FSC entities to align project execution with global priorities.
    • Represent FSC I&P in meetings and engagements with donors, partners, and stakeholders as appropriate.

    Requirements:

    Required Experience

    • Minimum three years of experience in nonprofit grants management, including technical writing, compliance, and reporting for government or institutional funders.
    • Experience with prospecting and researching grant opportunities and managing institutional fundraising pipelines.
    • Experience developing and managing grant budgets and contracts, including service agreements and partner sub-awards.
    • Proficiency with Salesforce and/or similar CRM platforms to track grant activity, deadlines, and partner engagement.

    Preferred Experience

    • Familiarity and interest in areas such as forest management, environmental sustainability, sustainable finance, certification schemes, geospatial technologies, greenhouse gases, and Responsible Supply Chains.
    • Experience coordinating working groups, tasks forces, or other groups in a professional setting.

    • Solution-oriented work attitude
    • Strong meeting and group facilitation skills and comfort working with colleagues via conference and video calls
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English. Spanish and/or French is a plus.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience and in the range of $58,000 to $72,000 annually based on a 40-hour work week.     Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

    FSC I&P is based in Seattle, Washington. Remote work is possible. Local staff have a hybrid set-up, with full access to an office in a co-working space in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. Travel is moderate.

    The employee will spend most working hours in an indoor office environment and may be subjected to moderate noise. This position will require occasional travel to internal or external events, which may be indoors or outdoors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, or speak for extended periods of time and spend full days using their hands to operate a computer. The employee will need to occasionally work hours that accommodate colleagues in time zones around the world.
