    Job Title: Campaigns Manager

    Employment Status: Full-Time Exempt Employee (An average of 40 hours per week, but as an exempt employee this position will be expected to work as many hours as it takes to fulfill their job responsibilities)

    Location: This is a remote position. We are a California-based organization, and this individual will be expected to work predominantly on a Pacific time zone schedule.

    The Center for Cultural Power (Cultural Power) is a women of color, artist-led organization, inspiring artists and culture makers to imagine a world where power is distributed equitably and where we live in harmony with nature. We support artists through fellowships, training, and opportunities for activation. We create intersectional stories and content addressing issues of immigration, climate, gender and racial justice. We engage movement groups in cultural strategy and organize artists around issues that inspire them. Together with allies, we are co-creating a field of cultural strategy with organizations and practitioners through convenings, design teams, and strategy tables.     About The Constellations Culture Change Initiative & Fund

    Housed at Cultural Power, The Constellations Initiative is a field-wide initiative to accelerate narrative and social change by creating a place-based network that distributes power and allows for collaboration. The goal is to build worldviews based on abundance and regeneration. Constellations is about BIPOC communities building their own power from the ground up by working with artists and culture-makers to shift narratives and worldviews. The Constellations Culture Change Fund is the grantmaking arm of the Initiative and housed at the Amalgamated Foundation. This position will work across both entities.     About The Cultural Engagement Lab (CEL)

    CEL is our 501(c)(4) organization that organizes a powerful network of seasoned artists and culture makers from impacted communities to lend their storytelling talents to meaningful advocacy, electoral, and civic engagement efforts.     Position Overview:

    The Campaigns Managers will be responsible for: the implementation and execution of narrative-based campaign strategies at the intersection of art, activism, and civic engagement. They will identify and drive key plans by offering constructive ideas, feedback, and problem-solving to navigate emerging opportunities and challenges related to that campaign teams work around climate justice, gender justice, migration, social justice, and civic engagement. They will take the lead on reviewing campaign art, ensuring campaigns are effectively managed, tracked, and executed, and overseeing logistics, timelines, and impact measurement. The Campaigns Manager will also play a key role in advancing how gender and climate justice narratives are embedded within the organization’s campaigns, ensuring that storytelling, mobilization, and artistic expression reflect the lived experiences of those most impacted. This role will be a Departmental Contributor at CCP/CEL. Roles categorized as Departmental Contributors are individuals who hold certain positions within a particular department, leveraging their seniority and expertise to actively drive the department's objectives, initiatives, and overarching achievements.

    Reporting to the Director of Campaigns and Engagement, the Campaign Manager will support the development and lead the execution of long-term and real-time campaign strategies that connect cultural moments, artistic expression, and social change. Managing consultants, partners, and collaborators as needed, the Campaign Manager will also oversee project management systems, partnerships, and campaign activations and be responsible for tracking impact, ensuring alignment across teams, and developing creative approaches to advocacy-based art, narrative shifting storytelling, and mobilization. This role requires strong coordination skills, as this role will be responsible for ensuring all campaign elements move forward in alignment with the team and organization’s strategic goals. , The Campaign Manager will regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in performing the following key areas of expertise and mastery:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Bucket 1: Campaign Strategy & Execution

    • Lead the implementation of intentional, impactful campaigns that align with the organization’s mission, including themes like gender, climate, and racial justice, as well as civic and cultural engagement.
    • Apply a creative lens and critical thinking to campaign development, with a strong ability to assess and review artistic work.
    • Generate creative, thoughtful ideas for campaigns that are responsive to real-time cultural and political shifts, while also planning for long-term narrative impact.
    • Regularly track cultural, artistic, and political trends to ensure timely, relevant campaigns resonate with target audiences.
    • Implement campaign strategies to forward campaign goals and further relationships across campaign participants.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to shape campaign vision, ensuring all elements reflect shared goals and values.
    • Collaborate with the communications lead and evaluation team to create creative briefs based on core narratives, develop messaging, and ensure cohesive storytelling across all platforms.
    • Research and identify strategic opportunities to position campaigns during relevant cultural moments, events, and conferences.
    • Be adaptable and ready to shift gears as new opportunities, challenges and cultural moments arise

    Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, proactively seeking guidance and engaging subject matter experts to deepen campaign impact.

    Bucket 2: Project Management & Coordination

    • Manage the logistics and coordination of campaign implementation, ensuring all tasks and deadlines are approached with care and intentionality.
    • Develop systems for tracking campaign progress and deliverables in a way that is clear, approachable, and flexible to the needs of the team.
    • Lead creative and storytelling efforts that challenge dominant narratives around social justice, climate displacement, reproductive justice, and community resilience.
    • Work collaboratively across teams to ensure campaigns are well-organized and maintain momentum without micromanaging or requiring excessive oversight.
    • Proactively identify and address potential challenges, offering thoughtful solutions that align with the organization’s values.
    • Establish and maintain project trackers, timelines, and deliverables to keep campaigns organized and on schedule.
    • Coordinate with internal and external partners, managing relationships and ensuring alignment on goals and objectives.
    • Monitor and evaluate campaign progress, adapting plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
    • Effectively synthesize and communicate learnings from subject matter experts to inform campaign execution
    • Demonstrate confidence in asking questions and seeking clarification for campaign success.
    • Support cross-team coordination to ensure gender and climate justice campaigns align with broader organizational strategies and partnerships.

    Bucket 3: Strategic Positioning & Partnerships

    • Build and foster meaningful relationships with organizations, contractors, artists, and collaborators in the fields of art, climate justice, gender justice, civic engagement, and social justice.
    • Strategically position campaigns within relevant cultural and political spaces, including conferences, panels, and public activations.
    • Lead outreach efforts to align stakeholders around shared goals, ensuring campaigns amplify the voices and needs of BIPOC communities.
    • Contribute to a culture of collaboration by creating space for shared ownership and innovative ideas from all partners involved.
    • Strategize around the "where" by identifying key spaces and platforms to amplify campaign messages.
    • Ensure campaign partnerships reflect a balance of artistic integrity, narrative impact, and strategic reach.
    • Strengthen existing relationships and identify and cultivate new partnerships with grassroots organizers, cultural institutions, and media outlets to amplify gender and climate justice campaigns.

    Bucket 4: Campaign Impact & Reflective Practices

    • Establish and implement thoughtful systems for tracking campaign outcomes, measuring engagement, and gathering feedback.
    • Use data and learnings to refine and improve campaigns in real-time and for future projects.
    • Develop post-campaign reflections to capture key successes, challenges, and growth opportunities in a supportive and forward-looking way.Ensure campaigns center equity, creativity, and authenticity, reflecting the mission and values of the organization.
    • Assess the effectiveness of the campaign’s storytelling approach ensuring there are qualitative and quantitative ways to check what is resonating with audiences and driving engagement
    • Lead the creation of impact reports that highlight how gender and climate narratives are shifting through the organization’s campaign work.

    This role is ideal for someone who is both a visionary and a doer—someone who thrives on working with others to bring creative, community-centered ideas to life while ensuring the work is intentional, aligned, and actionable.

    Required

    The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

    • High level of cultural fluency, experience working with BIPOC communities and/or organizations, and a commitment to equity.
    • An understanding of how climate justice and gender justice intersect with migration,social justice, and reproductive rights.
    • A collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset, with an ability to balance creative thinking with practical action.
    • A strong ability to respond to real-time cultural, political, and artistic moments, using them as opportunities to engage and mobilize audiences.
    • At least 2 years of organizing or campaign experience.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain trackers, schedules, and deliverables.
    • Familiarity with narrative strategy, political advocacy, and the intersections of art and activism.
    • Demonstrated understanding of narrative strategy campaigns, political art-based campaigns, and cultural relevance.
    • Experience activating campaigns on social media and in person, with a track record of successful execution.
    • Adaptable, with the ability to shift strategies and approaches as needed while maintaining focus on long-term goals.
    • Strong research skills for identifying relevant themes, cultural moments, and partnership opportunities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with communication teams while taking ownership of campaign execution and strategy.
    • The ability to build meaningful, intentional partnerships with collaborators across industries and disciplines.

    To stay on the pulse of culture and in harmony with the campaign movement, this position may require some weekends related to occurrences, including but not limited to launches and activations.

    Preferred

    We prefer candidates that have experience in:

    • Designing and executing campaigns that center gender and climate justice within cultural organizing.
    • Strong writing skills
    • Impact tracking and evaluation to measure campaign success.
    • Designing or reviewing creative products
    • Creative briefing and messaging development.
    • Building relationships with partners in the gender, climate justice, and civic engagement spaces.
    • Managing multi-faceted campaigns that include both digital and in-person activations.
    • Experience designing systems to monitor cultural, political, and artistic trends for campaign relevance.
    • A history of working collaboratively with teams to align campaign messaging and vision.
    • Familiarity with organizing activations, events, or exhibits that amplify social and cultural themes.
    • An adaptive approach to planning and execution that is responsive to shifting priorities or new opportunities.
    • A track record of integrating impact measurement and reflection into campaign processes.
