    POSITION SUMMARY

    The FLA seeks an experienced Training Manager to develop and implement the organization’s training and e-learning activities. Reporting to the Director, Knowledge Management with a dotted line into the University Program Manager, the Training Manager also plays an integral role in FLA’s program for licensees.

    The ideal candidate will have expertise in responsible sourcing initiatives and be familiar with the risks to workers in global supply chains. The incumbent must also have experience working across departments with excellent presentation and communication skills. The role will work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that the training and e-learning content is relevant and impactful.

    This is a Level 4/Geo 1 role with an annual salary range of $78,274- $87,000. This position is fully remote and can based in any location in the U.S., where FLA is registered to include the following: CA, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, NV, NY, OR, TX, VA, and WA.

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    Instructor-Led Training for Collegiate Licensee Companies

    • Lead the process of designing, scripting, rehearsing, and implementing all elements of the quarterly training sessions, ensuring thoughtful collaboration with FLA colleagues and stakeholders at relevant steps in the process.
    • Curate and prepare learning objectives, content, and assets for each training using FLA resources and interviews with FLA staff subject matter experts and other stakeholders, such as FLA members and licensee company affiliates.
    • Design each training with interactive, creative, and engaging activities such as case studies, role-plays, polls, quizzes, peer sharing, downloadable tools, etc.
    • Evaluate participant feedback, learning, and outcomes.
    • Produce a quarterly and annual report for internal use to measure the relevance, engagement, effectiveness, and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare a quarterly e-learning report for universities to document the participation of licensees.

    Course Authoring

    • Collaborate with FLA’s Innovation department to assess and determine course topics.
    • Develop online courses in the authoring tool, Create, integrating a variety of engaging techniques, including animation, quizzes, voiceover, videos, etc.
    • Create awareness around and promote use of the courses in FLA’s e-learning platform (LMS) and through licensing the SCORM files. Promotion can be done through email campaigns, social media, direct outreach, etc.
    • Collect evaluation and participation data to make improvements on the courses.

    FLA e-Learning

    • Maintain course catalogs in the LMS, ensuring that courses are updated as needed.
    • Answer questions about participation and promote participation among members.
    • Seek ways to continuously improve platform organization and user experience.
    • Manage and track participants, and support invoicing.
    • Seek out new third-party content that can be added to FLA’s LMS.

    Training for FLA Staff and Members

    • Develop and deliver engaging training sessions for FLA staff, members and affiliates as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • An undergraduate degree with a minimum of three years relevant professional experience with workers' rights, responsible sourcing, ESG, or other relevant fields required or at least seven years of relevant work experience.
    • Knowledge of international labor standards and social compliance issues that companies face in enforcing labor standards in global supply chains.
    • Interest in and commitment to FLA’s mission.
    • Experience designing and leading training sessions and using a Learning Management System (LMS) and authoring tools for course creation using a variety of training methods, techniques, and activities.
    • Experience with Zoom webinars, Zoom meetings, and Teams.
    • Experience working in a collaborative role, including working closely with multiple departments and incorporating stakeholder feedback and perspectives into deliverables.
    • Strong willingness to learn new skills and information as needed.
    • Ability to work proactively, taking initiative to prepare for future challenges and needs.
    • Outstanding organizational and time management skills in addition to strong attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with instructional design theory and the training cycle (needs assessment, curriculum planning, material development, coordination, monitoring, effectiveness evaluation).
    • Strong, energetic, and charismatic presentation and communication skills for both live and virtual audiences.
    • Experience with Mentimeter, Slido, Kahoot, or similar tools for training interaction.
    • Visual design skills for PowerPoints and courses and extensive data analysis skills with strong command of MS Excel.
