    rts Ed NJ, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, seeks a dynamic and passionate Individual Giving Development Coordinator to cultivate and implement strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability of Arts Ed NJ and meet the goals of the organization’s new five-year strategic vision plan. This new part-time position (average 20 hours/week) will play a crucial role in building a robust and diversified donor portfolio in conjunction with the Board, Executive Director, and other staff. The position has been supported through a generous grant from NJ Cultural Trust.

    The position is a remote with occasional requirements for in-person meetings with potential donors (10-20 annually), board meetings (1-2 annually), and all-staff meeting/planning days (scheduled as needed.) Staff members have access to an office space in Burlington, NJ if preferred.

    A successful candidate is a detail-oriented, independent worker, with a knowledge of fundraising as well as a passion for and in-depth knowledge about arts in education or other related fields. The ideal candidate understands the New Jersey Pre-k -12 education landscape, is able to think creatively and strategically, and has the ability to develop and maintain authentic relationships with various constituents. We are seeking a candidate interested in growing with our organization who can help us expand our donor base, execute donor cultivation events, strengthen communication with existing supporters, and cultivate potential donors and sponsors. This position also offers the opportunity to become a member of a dynamic six-person team committed to ensuring every student in NJ receives an impactful arts education

    The position is open until filled, but preference will be given to those candidates who apply on or before Monday, May 5, 2025.

    Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

      Advance the Leadership Coalition Individual Giving initiative including an emphasis on multi-year pledges including:

      * Donor identification and management

      * Development of campaign processes and activities

      * Board engagement and staff cultivation engagement

      * Provide manageable short and long-term goals

      * Manage donor communications and stewardship activities

      1. Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board Development Committee on key tasks including:

      * Donor cultivation

      * Advisory/Corporate board development

      * Provide manageable short and long-term goals

      * Manage donor communications and stewardship activities

      * Review, design and implement an Arts Ed NJ Donor Stewardship plan

        Ensure all development materials remain up to date and relevant, including data, slide decks, online and print materials

          Design and implement two annual individual giving appeals in tandem with Arts Ed NJ staff and board:

          * Collaborate setting the timeline for the campaign including touchpoints and messaging via snail mail, email and social media.

          1. Work with board and staff on 1-2 Donor Cultivation Events.
          2. Data management:

          * Analyze donation data and prepare reports

          * Streamline Neon donor management system to track giving and optimize tracking and stewardship

          1. Meet weekly with the Arts Ed NJ Executive Director to further the fundraising and development initiatives
          2. Explore creation of an Annual Report to engage with key funders, donors and stakeholders.
          3. Administrative Duties: In addition to the administrative fundraising duties outlined above, the position will include attendance at weekly virtual staff meetings, regular board development committee meetings, occasional board meetings, and engagement in other Arts Ed NJ events as they inform understanding of Arts Ed NJ or advance individual donor engagement.

          Qualifications

          • Strong administrative skills and experience with Neon Donor Base, GrantStation and Google Suite, Zoom, Excel and data.
          • High level organizational skills, willingness and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
          • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
          • The desired individual must possess a passion for the arts and arts education as well as an ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures and experiences, within an organizational culture that works to be free from prejudice and aggressions.
          • Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and accuracy
          • Willingness to learn and adapt to new software applications
          • Excellent communication skills—verbal and written; a solid eye for detail and composition
          • Familiarity with canva and wordpress is a plus
          • Spanish-language fluency is a plus

          Working Conditions

          This position will be required to fulfill the following in order to conduct and meet expectations.

          • Although this position will function primarily remotely, some in-person time will be required for various donor events and meetings. Some full staff meetings will occasionally be held at our Burlington Township office.
          • Some travel within NJ is required. A valid NJ Drivers License, with reliable transportation is required.
          • Flexible working hours, with some work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.
