From 1999-2015, A Better Way Foundation (ABWF) led the state’s criminal justice and drug policy reform and organizing work, leading campaigns responsible for the passage of some of the most progressive legislation in the country.
Since 2015, in response to the changing needs of the field, ABWF has evolved into a field-building organization dedicated to supporting community organizing for racial, economic, and gender justice across Connecticut by offering comprehensive fiscal sponsorship. We currently offer fiscal sponsorship to groups across Connecticut organizing around: immigrant rights; tenants rights; educational justice and youth rights; LGBQ+ and Trans youth rights; gender justice and violence against women; and more.
A Better Way Foundation provides back-office accounting, HR, legal, and administrative support to enable these groups to lead in communities across Connecticut. The Finance Manager is a critical member of our growing team!
You may be the right person for this role, if:
- You are an experienced non-profit accounting professional looking to work in an organization with strong racial, economic, and gender justice values.
- You love numbers! And are excited to teach others financial management principles.

This is a hybrid position based in Connecticut; must be able to work in-person at least 1 day/week. Benefits package includes health/dental insurance, unlimited PTO, and 401k options.
