    Agency Description & Program Model:

    At HER Resiliency Center, we give young women ages 18 to 25 who are overcoming hardship a safe environment where they can receive the support, skills, and resources they need to make positive decisions and thrive.

    HER emphasizes peers (young women) being aware of their own needs, while also receiving guidance as they grow into adulthood. This program is especially geared toward participants sharing their own life experiences, hearing about the path of others, and learning positive life skills through demonstrating healthy living. A crucial component of the HER model is for staff to share their own past struggles and victories in order to demonstrate empathy and understanding toward the participant. Both staff and participants are on a peer level with each other.

    Job Summary:

    The Professional Development Coach provides guidance and support to help each woman individually for up to 12 months enhance their skills, confidence, and career opportunities.This role involves coaching the young women (peers) on professional growth, leadership development, and workforce readiness through mentoring, workshops, and strategic goal setting.The Professional Development Coach fosters an empowering environment, equipping the young women (peers) with the tools and resources needed to navigate transitions, secure employment, and to build their abilities to physically show up and perform their work efficiently and successfully to advance in their chosen fields.

    Performance Responsibilities:

    1) Career Coaching & Mentorship

    • Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to support career exploration and skill development.
    • Provide guidance on resume writing, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
    • Offer personalized feedback and action plans to help peers achieve their professional goals.

    2) Workshop Facilitation

    • Develop and lead engaging workshops on workforce readiness, leadership, and professional growth.
    • Create interactive activities that enhance peers’ skills in networking, communication, and confidence building.
    • Adapt workshop content to address diverse career paths and industries.

    3) Program Development & Implementation

    • Assist in designing and improving workforce development programs tailored to women’s empowerment.
    • Ensure program activities align with organizational goals and industry trends.
    • Gather participant feedback to enhance program effectiveness.

    4) Assessment & Goal Setting

    • Conduct career assessments to identify strengths, challenges, and aspirations.
    • Develop individualized action plans to guide participants toward career advancement.
    • Track progress and adjust strategies as needed to ensure success.

    5) Resource Connection

    • Connect peers with job opportunities, and professional development resources.
    • Provide referrals to training programs, educational opportunities, and mentorship networks.
    • Guide peers in leveraging job platforms and organizations.

    6) Collaboration & Networking

    • Build relationships with employers, business leaders, and workforce development partners.
    • Organize networking events, jobs fairs and employer panels to create career opportunities.
    • Foster partnerships that support long-term careers success for peers.

    7) Performance Tracking & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate records of peer progress, feedback and outcomes.
    • Prepare reports on program effectiveness and impact for stakeholders.
    • Use data to assess areas for improvement and inform future program strategies.

    8) Empowerment & Advocacy

    • Promote a culture of empowerment by encouraging confidence, leadership and self-sufficiency.
    • Address barriers to employment and advocate for workplace opportunities.
    • Support peers in developing resilience and problem-solving skills for careers success.

    In order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position, an applicant must be experienced and confident in their ability to:

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Workforce Development, Education, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in career coaching, workforce development, professional training, or a related field.
    • Knowledge of workforce development strategies, career planning and job placement services.
    • Experience working with underrepresented groups and diverse populations is a plus.

    Compensation:

    Junior Level: $50,000 - $60,000 per year

    • Benefits package includes: paid time off, medical and dental, retirement, cell phone reimbursement, and professional develop training as available.
