    PAN is seeking a motivated, value-driven, and visionary Grants & Foundation Relations Manager to help our organization grow by building resilient relationships with foundations and other grantmaking entities in alignment with our mission, values and strategies.

    PAN works to end reliance on hazardous pesticides and achieve healthy, just and ecologically resilient food and farming. Over the past 40 years, PAN has been responsible for many successful efforts in the US and globally to reduce pesticide harms to people and the environment. We see agriculture at the nexus of the converging crises of our time, and promote agroecology as a vibrant, scalable and sustainable solution.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with funding partners
    • Work with the Executive Director and program staff to research, identify, pursue and cultivate opportunities including new foundation and institutional partnerships
    • Draft targeted, mission-aligned proposals, LOIs, budgets and reports for submission to current and prospective funders in collaboration with staff
    • Manage existing grants calendar to ensure all reporting deadlines are met while coordinating input from staff and tracking correspondence with foundations
    • Collaborate with PAN International program staff and partner organizations on joint grant proposals
    • Using Salesforce, produce regular reports on grants fundraising status and income projection analysis with PAN’s board and staff to assist with the planning and budgeting process
    • Draft and maintain up-to-date narrative boilerplate vetted by program staff to be used throughout the year in various proposals and reports
    • Other tasks as needed to support fundraising goals and objectives.

    What We Are Looking For

    • A track record of at least five years in securing grants and maintaining foundation relationships
    • Experience writing proposals for advocacy or social justice organizations (preferred)
    • Interest in environmental justice, food and farming systems reform
    • Strong project management skills, meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with overlapping deadlines
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment and work collaboratively
    • Excellent written, verbal, editing, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Track record as a proactive self-starter and a flexible team-player that adapts well to change
    • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Google Suite and Salesforce (preferred)
