    About The Blueprint Foundation:

    Blueprint is a non-profit workforce development organization of Black professionals who dedicate their time and talent to encourage and guide young people toward careers in the industry of their choosing. Black youth and adults learn in nature via project-based training and mentoring that prepares them for family-sustaining careers in the green sector while contributing to environmental justice initiatives related to air quality, green infrastructure, and industry diversification. Blueprint has programs that support learners at the early learner, teenager, and adult stages of development.

    About This Role:

    We are seeking a Program Coordinator to help plan and implement Blueprint curriculum and initiatives. The Program Coordinator will hold the responsibility of ensuring events, courses, and projects are staffed, properly equipped, and well attended. Primary duties include school and community engagement, student and partner procurement, transporting program participants to activities, and assistance with logistics. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will manage and collaborate with Program Assistants to implement in-school programming at multiple school locations.

    What Success Looks Like:

    A successful Program Coordinator will work in partnership with Blueprint staff to ensure all projects are delivered on time, meet requirements, and are within budget. They will center racial, gender, and economic justice in all aspects of the Blueprint’s work, modeling a deep commitment to analyze equity as a crucial component of the organization and our community’s success. They will engage program participants, staff, and partners according to Blueprint’s Core Values.

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Coordinate and attend TBF events and activities to assist with transportation, participant engagement, and photo documentation for marketing and reporting purposes.
    • Schedule planning meetings with collaborators, school faculty, and partner organizations.
    • Represent TBF at logistics meetings when appropriate.
    • Work with the Program Director to coordinate scheduling and execution of TBF activities and events.
    • Help recruit program participants and collaborators via classroom visits, community events, and program partnerships.
    • Assist with purchasing of project materials and event provisions.
    • Maintain inventory of TBF equipment and materials.
    • Assist with transportation of materials to project sites.
    • Assist with logistics and execution of fundraising events and campaigns.
    • Assist with reporting and tracking of participants, measurable outcomes, and program impact.
    • Help assess ongoing needs of program participants and their families, referring them for additional support services when appropriate.

    Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google suite apps.
    • Ability to deliver information verbally and produce written correspondence such as memos, e-mails, or e-newsletter updates.
    • Ability to operate motor vehicles, such as SUVs or passenger vans.
    • Valid motor vehicle operator’s license
    • Ability to develop and manage schedules.
    • Ability to operate and contribute as a part of a team.
    • Experience working in a school environment, with high school-age youth, and within a school system.
    • Experience engaging and managing courageous conversations around racial equity and social justice.
    • Experience serving and partnering with organizations that serve historically marginalized and underserved communities.
    • Experience building relationships with immigrant or refugee populations, Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQIA+ communities, people with disabilities, or those with limited economic resources.
    • Commitment to understand the impacts of environmental racism and to promote environmental stewardship amongst underserved communities.
    • Be adaptable, patient and calm while working with youth.
