Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Cancer Pathways Executive Director (ED) leads and manages the organization overseeing operations, finances, programs, staff and volunteers. They drive strategic planning, fundraising, and stakeholder relationships to achieve the organization's mission and goals.
Cancer Pathway’s mission is to provide support, education, and community for anyone affected by cancer before, during or after their cancer experience. The ED advances the organization’s mission serving diverse constituencies and has a clarity of vision, and operation aptitude to anticipate future opportunities and challenges and develop achievable solutions.

Effective Communications/Leadership – Strong writing and public speaking and story-telling skills.
Financial Management – Strong understanding of nonprofit financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting and fund raising.
Strategic Planning Ability to assess the organization’s progress towards its mission and take action to achieve goals including broadening the financial reach within the community.
Adaptability and Resilience – the ability to multi-task and adjust as needed.
Responsibilities:
Strategy – Develop and implement strategies that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
Staff Leadership – Provide leadership to and manage the efforts of staff to ensure appropriate support of all departments.
Stakeholder Relationships – Represent and develop relationship with stakeholders that will help forward the mission of the organization.
Board Collaboration – Develop, maintain, and support a high performing Board of Directors. Work closely with the board members to define and communicate the organization’s vision and direction.
Financial Management – Develop, execute and manage the organization’s finances, including monitoring financial performance, tracking revenue and expenses, and ensuring that the organization is operating within its budget.
Fundraising and Programs – Ensure that programs and funding relationships are robust enough to meet or exceed strategic goals and objectives. Prepare accurate and timely analyses that capture and communicate variances and performance trends.
Reporting – Oversee and report on the organization’s results for the Board of Directors, regulators and other required parties.
