SafeFutures Youth Center was born from the grit, perseverance, and life experience of community activists and youth workers who would not accept the disparities and inequities that youth of color face in education, employment, and the criminal legal system. The Agency’s mission is to empower and support children from low-income BIPOC communities throughout Southwest Seattle and King County to realize their potential and emerge as confident, resourceful, and engaged community members. For over 24 years, SafeFutures has emerged as a leading force in providing culturally responsive youth development, academic, employment, and career-readiness programs in conjunction with comprehensive youth development navigation and support services that make it possible for youth and young adults to create a positive vision for their future and to take steps toward realizing their dreams.
The Agency provides a comprehensive array of services and activities in which youth and youth adults will participate based on assessment, strengths, and choice to make it possible for them to succeed in realizing their goals and aspirations.
