VOCAL Action Fund is a 501c4 advocacy organization allied with Voices of Community Activists and Leaders (VOCAL-NY), and acts as the policy and political voice of the most marginalized and vulnerable New Yorkers.
The VOCAL Action Fund was created in order to provide a grassroots and independent voice for some of the most marginalized communities in New York through educational and electoral activity, including legislative advocacy, voter education, and community organizing to promote VOCAL state chapters’ mission.

Position Description
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Organizer to join our team for a temporary position until November 23rd, 2024. As an Organizer, you will play a pivotal role by engaging directly with voters, recruiting volunteers, and coordinating volunteer efforts in Congressional District 22. The Syracuse Organizer will focus primarily on electoral organizing throughout CD22. The position will be asked to support our other upstate chapters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to community organizing and building the power of people living with HIV/AIDS, experiencing homelessness, active and former drug users, and formerly incarcerated communities. A deep commitment to social justice is required.

This is a full-time position. The position will require travel around CD22. While the option for remote work will sometimes be available, there will be frequent in-person requirements.
Compensation:
The salary range $55,000 - $60,000 per year, will be commensurate with experience.
A car and valid driver’s license is required, VOCAL Action Fund will reimburse for gas and mileage.
