    Position Summary:

    Brady is currently seeking a full-time Accountant Associate to support our finance department. In this role you will assist in executing, maintaining, and improving accounting, reporting, and control processes to facilitate efficient and effective financial operations and risk mitigation across the organization. You will assist in aspects of accounting operations including revenue recognition, expense management, database maintenance, financial reporting, and ad hoc projects. You’ll also assist with office organization, storage and filing of physical records, mail sorting, and other administrative tasks as needed. The Accounting Associate will report to a member of the senior accounting staff.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Preparing revenue entries under supervision of senior accounting staff
    • Preparing expense management (corporate card) entries under supervision of senior AP staff
    • Maintaining contract database and contract document repositories to allow for timely and accurate access for the finance team to contract information
    • Office organization, records storage and filing, mail sorting, and administrative tasks as needed
    • Come to understand and help to facilitate and improve flow of information from granular processes up to the financial statements and across the organization
    • Assisting with periodic financial analysis and journal entry preparation to aid in the month end close process
    • Assisting with research on pertinent accounting standards/guidelines as needed
    • Preparing ad hoc analyses and reports as needed

    Desired Skills & Experience:

    • 1+ years experience in accounting/admin roles with progressive responsibility
    • Experience with nonprofit accounting
    • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field
    • Knowledge of GAAP
    • Proficiency with accounting and accounting adjacent software, document management and retention, and remote workforce operations
    • Proficiency with or ability to independently learn MS Excel and basic business software including Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office Suite
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to form relationships and work with other stakeholders
    • Superior organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills including the ability to self-manage multiple projects, deadlines, and periodic tasks (Preferred)
    • Pursuing CPA and/or Advanced degree in Accounting or related field
    • Proficiency and experience with Sage Intacct
