    As an intermediary organization, we partner with about 85 youth development nonprofits that annually champion over 250,000 New York City youth.     Youth INC is seeking a Development Coordinator to join our team as we deepen our capacity to raise critical funds and provide resources to support excellent youth-serving nonprofit organizations in NYC. The Development Coordinator will play an important part in helping Youth INC execute and improve existing initiatives while also working to develop and implement new initiatives in line with our strategic plan. This role supports the Development Team’s fundraising efforts including event logistics, donor cultivation & stewardship, and general administrative support.

    Supporting fundraising and stewardship efforts

    • Work with the team to develop, implement, and execute fundraising campaigns throughout the year
    • Participate in fundraising campaigns by communicating with a portfolio of donors and tracking progress towards goals
    • Actively participate in strategic conversations on the development team informed by team goals as outlined in the team’s Development Plan and the Youth INC Strategic Plan
    • Coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including scheduling meetings, creating agendas, and taking and distributing notes, as is requested
    • Assist the team in prospect research to maintain a pipeline of candidates for potential corporate partners, individual donors, board prospects, and honorees
    • Maintain records in SharePoint and Salesforce to ensure effective organization of data

    Event Planning

    • Working with project managers to keep track of internal tasks and responsibilities for the team by crafting meeting agendas, keeping meeting notes, and communicating with the team as needed
    • Supporting on the development and execution of events by working on venue and/or vendor research, contributing to the creation of event materials and communications, aiding in the development of logistical information and materials, and being a point of contact for the team for on-site event logistics
    • Maintaining event sponsor benefits by tracking sponsorships and guest RSVPs, fulfilling sponsor recognition, and communicating with sponsors to achieve these goals
    • Ensuring all event materials, including project management plans, are accurately updated, maintained, and organized

    Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years in nonprofit development or related fields, ideally having experience in planning and executing fundraising events
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in development or business operations required
    • Demonstrated experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, board members, corporate supporters, and donors
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Embrace challenges and adopt new responsibilities with creativity, initiative, and self-direction
    • Team player, enthusiastic about collaboration and participation in organizational initiatives
    • Experience using: Microsoft Suite including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Salesforce or similar CRM,
    • Experience using Monday (or similar project management platform) and RelPro, iWave, (or similar prospect research platform) is a plus
    • Knowledge of New York financial sector a plus
    • Based in New York City or surrounding areas and as such is available to attend in person meetings, events, and office working days in New York City as is needed

    Benefícios

    Salary Range: $46,000-$68,000, depending on experience, annual merit, and bonus eligible. This is a salaried position and is not overtime eligible.

    • Generous health insurance coverage (medical, dental, vision). Youth INC currently covers 93% of health insurance premiums for employees and 80% of premiums for covered family members.
    • A minimum of 11 organizational holidays, 5 sick days, and 22 PTO days holiday per year. Upon your third anniversary, you receive an additional 5 PTO days.
    • Summer Fridays
    • Youth INC automatically contributes 3% to your 401K savings on your behalf each year, regardless of whether you contribute.
    • This position is primarily remote and only open to New York tristate area residents, with the expectation to work on-location occasionally as needed. Youth INC’s Nonprofit Partners, board members, and funders are primarily based in New York City, and we prioritize candidates who possess experience with the New York City nonprofit, youth development, or funder ecosystems.
