Harbor Communities Overcoming Violence (HarborCOV) is an innovative nonprofit organization that offers culturally relevant emergency and longer-term resources, and affordable housing for survivors of domestic violence and their children, while educating the public about the causes and consequences of domestic violence.
Hourly workers for morning, afternoon, evening and as-needed to provide activities for children. Experience interacting with children of all ages and providing structured activities. Reliable work history and sensitivity to domestic violence.
The ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of resources in Chelsea, Revere, Winthrop, East Boston and Charlestown. They will be able to balance their love of being part of a mission-centered team with working independently; have exceptional assessment, listening, communication, problem-solving and de-escalation skills; be highly creative, flexible and adaptive; and have a deep understanding of culturally relevant, strength-based strategies within an economic and social-justice framework for working with survivors, the broader community and other members of the HarborCOV team.
