About Organizing Resilience
Organizing Resilience (OR) is a strategy hub for organizers, policy experts, funders, and government folks from across the country who organize through climate shocks to build more powerful organizations, increase the effectiveness of direct relief efforts, shift narratives about climate disasters, and build capacity for policy campaigns that win meaningful victories for communities most affected by disasters. Started in 2021 OR is an incubator for game-changing ideas that respond to the urgent climate moment, led by working people and communities of color around the country. Climate disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and extreme heat are key moments for OR’s work, where power structures break open and can be renegotiated.OR is a fiscally sponsored project of the Amalgamated Charitable Foundation.
About the Role
Organizing Resilience seeks a Manager, Giving Strategies to join its small but mighty and growing team to lead fundraising and donor engagement. The Manager, Giving Strategies will work to advance Organizing Resilience’s mission to build power in the face of climate disasters. Serving in both internal and external facing capacities, this individual should excel at moving work from idea to action, toggling between the execution of big-picture strategy and extreme attention to detail. The ideal Manager, Giving Strategies is a strategic thinker and strong project manager, with a proactive approach to rolling up their sleeves to strengthen our capacity to deliver on our ambition.Fundraising is core to the success of Organizing Resilience. OR advances traditional and nontraditional fundraising strategies—spanning the spectrum from small-dollar donations to large-scale institutional philanthropic grants—to raise and move resources to support organizers in disaster-prone regions. OR approaches funders as key stakeholders. We are excited to bring someone onto our team who brings creative ideas and a desire to innovate and develop new models and ways of working.

Salary & Benefits
The salary for this non-exempt position is $80,000 - $100,000 commensurate with experience. This position is a remote, U.S. based role. The role will require up to 20% domestic travel, as needed.
