CEO/Executive Director of HUM

Role and Responsibilities

The role of CEO/ED will be a new role to this organization. We are positioning this organization for the future and we are looking for an individual who can operate within the roles and responsibilities below.

• Committed Christian with a love and heart for missions.
• A person who has good understanding of the work we do in Africa.
• Willing to travel to Africa 3-4 times a year as well as travel with the US.
• This can be a remote position, or the person can live in Denver CO area.
• This person would give leadership to a stateside team of 3 people and over all operations to the team in Uganda. The team in Uganda would be 40-60 people.
• A great communicator with both the team and the donors.
• Fund raising will be a major part of this role, as well as the sponsorship program.
• Vision Casting
• Working alongside the founder.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• This person should have BA/BS degree, Masters is preferred.
• Mission experience in leading an organization that has both a stateside and in country staff and operations.
• Desire that the person Speak a second language
• Understand working in another culture.

6. Strong financial understanding, budget development, and implementation of budget
7. Fund Raising Skills with major donors
8. Strong understanding of a sponsorship program
9. Ability to give strong direction to a team in US/Uganda
10. Ability to understand and communicate needs of the ministry
11. Ability to develop leaders in the organization.
12. Ability to direct and lead and manage a small team
13. Ability to develop and maintain all necessary documents for SOP and employee manuals
