    Summary of Position

    Many Mothers is seeking a highly skilled, values-aligned Maternal Mental Health Clinician (MMHC) to join our team. Working with the Executive Director as a strategic thought partner, the MMHC will provide short-term therapy and sustainable resource connection to women experiencing perinatal and postpartum mood disorders (PMADs). The MMHC will also work closely with organizational leadership to help advocate for and develop best practices as we implement telehealth and onsite mental health options for families.

    Temporary Part-time, non-exempt, 25 hours per week.

    Primary Roles and Responsibilities

    • Conduct clinical assessments
    • Maintain a caseload of at least 12 clinical hours per week, providing individual therapy to identified clientele
    • Conduct psychosocial evaluations and accurately diagnose clients
    • Provide care coordination service to address short (3 months and less) and long-term (3+ to 12 months) behavioral health treatment goals
    • Provide crisis intervention services to clients
    • Collaborate with community and/or clinic providers
    • Connect clients with ongoing mental health services
    • Implement the outlined goals and timeline of Many Mothers’ current maternal mental health initiative plan, including individual counseling, remote/telehealth options, and group counseling objectives
    • Develop written procedural manual

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

    • Combination of the following:
    • Currently licensed LPCC or physician in the State of New Mexico, and at least 6 months of case management experience, and at least 6 months of counseling experience; or
    • An LCSW or LMFT health professional, and at least 6 months of case management experience, and at least 1 year of counseling experience; or
    • An advanced degree in psychology, social worker, or closely related field, and at least 6 months of case management experience, and at least 2 years of counselling experience;
    • At least 1 year of perinatal and postpartum mood disorder diagnostic experience preferred;
    • Proficiency in computer use and previous work with case management software;
    • Ability to conduct directed outreach
