    About LEEP

LEEP is an impact-driven, evidence-based nonprofit that aims to eliminate childhood lead poisoning, which affects an estimated one in three children worldwide. We primarily focus on one important source of exposure: lead paint. Our paint programs involve generating data, supporting governments with the introduction and enforcement of regulation, and assisting manufacturers in switching to lead-free paints. Beyond our paint programs, we are piloting interventions to address other sources of lead exposure, such as spices and cosmetics.

Since our founding in September 2020:

In optimising and spearheading LEEP's recruitment efforts, this person will play a pivotal role in helping us grow an outstanding team as we continue to scale and expand our programs across the globe.

    Responsibilities

    • Designing and managing the recruitment process
      • Draft compelling job descriptions and application forms tailored to LEEP’s values and hiring needs.
      • Develop and implement recruitment and selection strategies that attract diverse, high-quality candidates.
      • Maintain and optimise our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure a smooth hiring workflow.
    • Candidate evaluation and selection
      • Screen applications, conduct initial Zoom interviews, and assess candidates’ suitability.
      • Create a cohesive, unbiased assessment plan for each role
      • Design and assess test tasks and other evaluation tools in collaboration with hiring managers.
      • Coordinate and participate in interviews, ensuring a structured and fair evaluation process.
      • Provide thoughtful and aligned hiring recommendations and training to decision-makers at various stages in the hiring process.
    • Candidate communication and experience
      • Manage all candidate communications, ensuring timely updates and a positive applicant experience.
      • Provide feedback to candidates where appropriate, upholding LEEP’s commitment to transparency and respect in hiring.

      • Stay informed about best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.
      • Work closely with the Operations team to refine and enhance LEEP’s recruitment processes over time.
      • When required, collaborate and manage recruitment agencies and partners.
      • Any additional tasks as reasonably required to support the team.

    What We’re Looking For

A successful applicant will possess or be most of the following:

    • Passion for LEEP’s mission and for driving excellent recruitment
    • Excellent judgment and the ability to quickly understand role requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
    • Strong communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling job descriptions and conduct clear interviews.
    • At least three years prior experience working in recruitment or managing recruitment processes.
    • Ability to multi-task and remain highly organised and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
    • Aptitude for identifying issues, prioritising, generating solutions, and efficiently implementing new ideas.
    • Ability to create and assess test tasks that fairly evaluate candidates’ skills in domains that are relevant to the given role.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build positive relationships with candidates.

    Other promising attributes:

    • Experience hiring across multiple countries and understanding of international recruitment best practices.
    • Experience using ATS platforms or other hiring systems.

We are most interested in talent, not credentials. If you don’t fit some of the above criteria but think you are a good fit for this role, we’d love to see you apply.

    Work Environment

Our culture is one of genuine care for each other and passion for our work and its impact. We are a team that values collaboration, openness, and mutual support, which creates an environment where everyone can thrive while contributing to meaningful work.

Though we are a remote team, we are supportive and close-knit. We stay connected through weekly team calls and 1:1 calls, where we have conversations about both non-work and work topics; we regularly share photos and celebrate milestones and successes in our Slack; and we come together annually for an in-person retreat to strengthen relationships and reflect on our mission.

Our team of 21 people is based across five continents and speaks over 10 languages. We have diverse expertise, from medicine to environmental health to international law.

Our work schedule is flexible. Some of the team work 9-5:30, and some adjust their daily schedule around school pick-up. We value work-life balance and rarely contact the team members outside their work hours.

    LEEP offers:

    • A chance to have a very large positive impact on the world
    • 33 days of paid leave
    • Generous sick leave and parental leave policies
    • 4% pension contribution or equivalent salary match
