Position Description
Juma seeks a talented Site Manager with a track record of success in workforce development and program engagement, with high barrier youth between the ages of 16-24, to serve as a key member of our team.
Reporting to the Director of Impact, the Site Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive growth with our enterprise and YouthConnect program. The Site Manager will supervise the site’s Enterprise team and Program team members with day to day operations while supporting networks in the community, thereby advancing Juma’s mission and creating meaningful impact in the lives of both donors and Juma youths. The Site Manager will create meaningful moments for our youth participants, and build a productive and supportive culture for Juma Seattle’s direct service staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Site Manager will ensure high-quality outcomes for the Juma Seattle program by:
- Establishing enterprise and program goals in Seattle
- Building and implement recruitment timeline while making adjustments as needed
- Overseeing the delivery of financial capability curriculum in conjunction with local and national banking partners
- Developing and maintaining key program partnerships such as community based organizations (CBOs), corporate employers and community colleges;
- Developing and maintaining a work environment of excellence in customer service, learning, teamwork, success and upward mobility opportunities;
- Working with the Seattle team and the National team to evaluate the Juma program to identify and address challenges and improve outcomes;
- Overseeing program staff’s delivery of workshops and one on ones for young adults on topics concerning career development, employment and education
- Serving as a mentor and coach to further develop the capabilities of youth staff and youth managers.
The Site Manager will lead the Juma Seattle team by:
- Providing supervision of Juma Seattle’s social enterprise managers and program coordinators;
- Building a cohesive and productive team culture in Seattle and across the country to achieve Juma’s mission;
- Working with the Seattle team and the National team to evaluate the Juma program to identify and address challenges and improve outcomes;
- Participating in Program Implementation Team (PIT Crew) meetings
- Participating in regular site lead check-ins to share and learn best practices with other site leads
- Participating in regular Program Team and National Enterprise meetings
- Leading regular meetings with site staff for roster reviews.
- Overseeing site staff’s timely and accurate data entry into Apricot for program and enterprise events
- Leading the review and analysis of program evaluation results utilizing Juma’s Efforts to Outcomes (Apricot) database and adjusts staff efforts and youth programming based on the analysis
- Providing fiscal oversight for the Juma Seattle site, including developing and implementing budgets and managing and reporting assets, revenue, and expenditures;
- Providing organizational oversight for the Juma Seattle site, including, Human Resources, finance, office space and systems, and technology;
- Overseeing site staff’s maintenance of JEIT, program calendars, and 15five OKR submissions
- Playing a role in the development of Juma’s national strategic plans and leading the development of enterprise and program strategies consistent with the integrated strategy of the site.
- Working with site staff in the recruitment of our youth team, conduct orientations, hold interviews, evaluate youth for hiring considerations, collect hiring paperwork and submit for employment verification/background checks with Juma administration offices
- Overseeing the drafting and implementation of Performance Improvement Plans and follow-up (collab between EM and PC), enforcing the Engagement & Dismissal Policy where appropriate
- Overseeing Job Placement & Retention (with varying levels of involvement depending on need):
- Support with open office hours or 1-on-1 calls to support the development of Individual client-based career goals
- Support with individual goal planning exercises with youth clients designed to support their identification of steps toward a career pathway.
The Site Manager will position the Juma Seattle site for long-term sustainability by:
- Providing high-level oversight of Juma’s social enterprise operations at T-Mobile Park, Lumen Field, and UW Husky Football Stadium- responsible for Seattle’s annual Profit & Loss;
- Understanding stadium venue agreements, terms and execution plans. Full understanding and ability to train AEMs (Assistant Enterprise Managers) and/or EMs (Enterprise Managers) on process, procedure, and operational plans
- Serving as the external face of Juma Seattle by building and managing relationships with strategic community partners and concessionaire partners
- Working with the Seattle Development team to secure funding as well as to execute program deliverables
- Supporting with positive interaction and relationship building with stand managers and other floor/area supervisors as needed to produce a collaborative management oversight of youth as well as building positive relationships with venue team and/or concessionaire partner to ensure consistent and potential increase for youth shifts and an inclusive work environment
- Overseeing enterprise staff’s development and implementation of stadium trainings for new staff
- Collaborating with enterprise staff to manage relationships with and between youth participants
- Creating an environment of exceptional customer service based on Juma’s values and guiding principles.
- Maintaining daily, monthly, and seasonal budgets and forecasts.
- Clearly articulating revenue forecasts on monthly, weekly and daily breakdown. Understanding profit margins to better track net income/loss on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the nonprofit philanthropic, private or public sector
- Experience and commitment to successfully developing, managing and mentoring a diverse team
- Demonstrated knowledge and respect for youth and youth culture
- Experience developing programs and building relationships with external partners
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines
- Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, motivated, and able to take initiative in all situations; ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and inclusive environment
- Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary

Hours/Week: 40 hours
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
