    About One Warm Coat

    One Warm Coat is a national nonprofit that provides free coats to children and adults in need while promoting volunteerism and environmental sustainability. For 32 years, One Warm Coat has been providing coats to people in need across all 50 states through an extensive network of 1,500 local nonprofit organizations. To date, more than 50,000 individuals and organizations have held coat drives in communities across the country, collecting over 8 million coats. In addition, One Warm Coat’s focus on fashion circularity and reducing textile waste is keeping millions of pounds of textiles out of landfills each year. One Warm Coat’s programs encourage everyone to share warmth and kindness, not waste.

    About The Role

    The Development Manager for Coat Drives and Corporate Engagement is a management position that will report to the President & CEO. This is an excellent opportunity to work remotely for a national nonprofit organization with an exciting portfolio of brand partnerships already in place and the potential for many more. As a member of a small team of dedicated professionals, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of thousands of people across the country. The salary range is $70K to $75K plus great benefits including health insurance, dental and vision, Simple IRA, life insurance, phone stipend, and a generous PTO policy.

    Qualifications

    • Passion for One Warm Coat's mission and the ability to authentically articulate the mission in a compelling way in both verbal and written communications
    • Minimum of 3 years experience fundraising for a nonprofit organization
    • Record of success developing strategy to build and maintain revenue pipelines and execute through prospect research and relationship building
    • Strong project management skills and attention to detail are a necessity to succeed in this role
    • Desire to work collaboratively within a small team and willingness to take ownership of a variety of different responsibilities
    • Willingness to travel 3 to 4 times / year
    • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills that will thrive in a supportive team-focused culture based on creativity and collaboration
    • Self-motivation and the ability to maintain focus in a remote work environment where 100% of the workload is administrative
    • Proficiency adapting to new technologies including CRMs and project management tools

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop an overall strategy for success for the Coat Drive Program, focusing on recruiting and retaining individual and organization Coat Drive Organizers and generating additional revenue
    • Conduct targeted outreach to organizations and companies to attract new muli-location coat drives
    • Build and implement a comprehensive plan to retain Coat Drive Organizers including annual awards and other forms of recognition
    • Create and implement plans to increase financial donations from coat drives,with a specific focus onemployee engagement and business drives
    • Collaborate with the Executive VP to continuously improve the coat drive registration process, website, and other resources
    • Collaborate with the President & CEO to develop an overall strategy for success
    • for corporate engagement focusing on recruiting new corporate sponsors,
    • retaining existing sponsors, and generating additional revenue
    • Research, identify, and conduct targeted outreach to potential corporate partners
    • Manage the onboarding process for new corporate sponsors and provide support and stewardship to existing corporate sponsors
    • Manage One Warm Coat communications on LinkedIn including posts, comments, and responses
