    LOCATION:

    The Partnership team works in a hybrid capacity. This position is expected to be in schools 80% of the time, with occasional visits to the Partnership office in Downtown LA. School sites are based in Boyle Heights, South Los Angeles, and Watts.

    SUMMARY OF REQUEST

    The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools is seeking a consultant for a 6-month contract to support Restorative Justice Practices and PBIS implementation. This is a dynamic, school-facing role with opportunities for meaningful collaboration with school staff and student leaders. We are seeking a candidate with knowledge and experience in PBIS/RP, adult learning, and leadership development.

    SCOPE OF WORK

    Staff & Student Facing Professional Development

    • Facilitate Professional Learning for school staff, in collaboration with teacher leaders
    • Engage and train student leaders in peer mediation and restorative practices, in collaboration with Restorative Justice teachers
    • Plan and facilitate monthly, virtual Community of Practice on Discipline for Restorative Justice teachers, Deans, and Admin, in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Restorative Communities
    • Create and update resources and toolkits to support educators’ professional development

    Teacher Leader Support (Restorative Communities and College Leads, or RCCLs)

    • Model restorative practices and support in the creation of sustainable systems for effective implementation
    • Ensure PBIS/Culture Team meetings are effective using progress monitoring tools, in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Restorative Communities
    • Support RCCL seminar planning and facilitation (2 seminars in the spring semester)
    • Conduct street data gathering (ex. student focus groups, interviews) to keep a pulse on school culture and climate, in collaboration with teacher leaders (RCCLs)

    REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5 years of professional experience in an educational or community organization setting
    • 3 years of teaching experience or equivalent
    • Bachelor's degree required; Master of Arts in Education or related field preferred
    • Experience facilitating restorative practices and social-emotional learning
    • Experience in cultivating school culture and student discipline supports
    • Experience in coaching adults and leading them to achieve SMART goals
    • Strong facilitation and active listening skills
    • Strong personal commitment to social justice and healing work
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Experience facilitating professional development
    • California teaching, counseling, or administrative credential (secondary preferred)
    • Familiarity with PBIS/RP, Tiered Fidelity Inventory, LAUSD Teaching & Learning Framework (or similar framework for teacher growth and development)
    • Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Spanish fluency is preferred

    COMPENSATION & TIMEFRAME

    The budget for this work is $50,000 and the consultant will work 10-12 hours per week (must be available during school hours). Contract deliverables are expected to be executed by June 15, 2025.
