    On behalf of our client, ESPH, we are conducting a search for the VP Human Resources (VP, HR) to serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, ensuring HR policies, programs and initiatives align with ESPH's mission and operational goals. VP, HR is responsible for leading and evolving the entire HR function, providing hands-on leadership in driving organizational change, enhancing employee engagement, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of inclusivity, accountability and excellence. Success in the role will be demonstrated by a strong ability to collaborate with colleagues on the senior leadership team and Program Directors to build and maintain a culture of accountability and commitment in aligning HR processes, procedures, recruitment and retention needed for exceptional service delivery.

    Reporting to the CEO and located primarily at HQ in Raleigh, NC, this action-oriented VP will lead an organization of approximately 20 team members.

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Compensation, benefits and payroll
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Key Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

    • Bachelor's degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • National HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP or related), Talent Management or Compensation / Benefits certification highly preferred.

    • National HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP or related), Talent Management or Compensation/Benefits certification highly preferred.
    • At least ten years progressive HR leadership experience in varied disciplines including, but not limited to: compensation, benefits, organizational development, employee relations, performance management and federal and state respective employment laws.
    • Experience in a non-profit, healthcare or social services setting strongly preferred.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law, HR best practices and workforce compliance.
    • Proven ability to lead large teams and drive organizational change.
    • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Strong relationship-building skills with an engaging, collaborative leadership style.
    • Technical proficiency in a variety of computer applications and software (e.g., HRIS - UKG).
    • Ability to promote and adhere to the organization's mission, vision and IDEAL values.
    • Adheres to policies and applicable laws in a fair and equitable manner.
    • Periodic travel, including overnight travel, is required in this role. Maintain valid driver's license with reliable transportation to attend meetings and visit ESPH team members and program locations.
    • Typical full-time work schedule Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties and business demand. Hybrid work environment
