Coro seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Partnership and Alumni Engagement Manager to lead the organization's institutional partnership strategy and support the alumni network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a relationship manager with the ability to manage competing priorities.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPACT

Position Overview

At Coro, we train leaders. The Partnerships and Alumni Engagement Manager will partner with Coro’s Senior Director of Development, Chief Executive Officer, the External Affairs Team, and the Board of Directors to grow opportunities for cross-sector institutions and program alumni to engage with the organization. The ability to cultivate relationships while managing competing priorities and projects will be critical. This role is pivotal to Coro’s mission to train, support, and connect leaders to foster a thriving democracy and tackle society’s biggest challenges together. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of fundraising or partnership management experience and a deep curiosity and connection with the people, organizations, and entities that make up the civic fabric of San Francisco as a city and the Bay Area as a region.

Key Leadership Roles and Responsibilities

Partnership Development

• Maintain a portfolio of 150 key institutional donors and develop engagement plans to grow their support and meet annual revenue targets.
• Research and solicit new sources of institutional funding, expanding the organization’s network.
• Secure internship placements for the Fellows Program in Public Affairs and Exploring Leaders programs.
• Prepare proposals for current and prospective funders and follow up on outstanding commitments.

Alumni Engagement

• Develop and implement a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy.
• Partner with the Marketing and Recruitment Manager to develop alumni communications
• Collaborate with Sr. Director of Development and alumni volunteers to launch the new Coro Alumni Council and serve as staff liaison.
• Coordinate alumni events, including the annual Coro Alumni Night.

External Affairs Support

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of relationships in Salesforce.
• Support the External Affairs Team with donor and Salesforce management, including stewarding gifts.
• Actively participate in Coro staff meetings and retreats, communications, and project management, including contributing to partnership proposals, program reports, conference presentations, and other strategic and administrative projects.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

YOUR LEGACY

This role will directly impact, support, and connect leaders from across the Bay Area with Coro. Your work will influence and change the leadership journeys of hundreds, and possibly thousands, of people. This role, in particular, has an exciting opportunity to help build Coro’s network and alumni engagement.

POSITION LOGISTICS

This is a full-time role. The salary range for this role is $80,000 - 90,000 annually, depending on experience. Coro benefits include medical, dental, 401k match, and a very generous PTO/flexible work policy.

This is a Bay Area-based position. The role will require being in-person at our Downtown San Francisco location two days a week and on-site as needed for program, development, and event-related activities.
