    Descrição

    TASKS/SERVICES. The contractor shall:

    • Contribute to the overall organization of divisional activities and functions.
    • Serve as liaison to and work with staff in the offices within NIDDK.
    • Maintain and utilize various administrative databases.
    • Complete special projects, such as organizing staff retreats or planning large meetings.
    • Organize, provide logistical support, and attend conference calls, scientific meetings and workshops; coordinate background materials, prepare meeting agendas and write minutes accurately.
    • Implement organizational priorities and provide a wide range of liaison and administrative services to program directors.
    • Mine NIH databases to conduct analyses of NIH-sponsored research activities and output.
    • Coordinate updates of programmatic websites.
    • Collaborate with other Scientific Program Analysts and other NIDDK Staff.
    • Evaluate the main scientific content of new grant applications to facilitate their assignment to the proper DDEMD program director.
    • Perform portfolio analyses, scientific categorization and reporting.

    DELIVERABLES. Upon request, the contractor will provide documentation of any and/or all work products, including, but not limited to:

    • Work products and documents related to logistical support, including meeting minutes, activity reports, budget documents and scientific meeting/workshop-related documents.
    • Work products and documents related to specific scientific or administrative tasks and data analysis as requested by the DDEMD program staff; implement organizational priorities.
    • Work products and documents related to mining NIH databases to conduct analyses of NIH-sponsored research activities and output; coordinate updates of programmatic web- sites.
    • Work products and documents related to evaluating the main scientific content of new grant applications to facilitate their assignment; perform portfolio analyses, scientific categorization, and reporting.

    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSE, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OR OTHER EXPERTISE REQUIRED. The contractor must have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, business administration, or related discipline.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
    • Strong knowledge in biology and scientific terminology.
    • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong detail-oriented work practices.
    • Ability to identify and address challenges using problem solving skills as needed.
    • Excellent project/time management, analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
    • Excellent level proficiency in use of MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
    • Excellent level proficiency in the use of databases, websites and online tools.
    • Ability to successfully deal with multiple tasks and multiple programs simultaneously in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed.
    • U.S. citizenship.
