    Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee (HPGM) was formed in 2001 with the vision of showcasing Latino talent in Wisconsin and providing individuals with the support they needed to reach increasing levels of success in their careers.

    Today, HPGM is more committed than ever to increasing economic prosperity and growing Latino influence for a stronger Wisconsin. Their vision is a Wisconsin where economic and social advancement is a reality for all Latinos, which remains at the core of their programming and initiatives.

    As HPGM grows and expands, they are continually creating programs tailored to the needs of the diverse membership base, reaching across sectors and experience levels. HPGM currently has three important positions available to lead us through this growth.

    The Development Director, Program Manager, and Communications Director will individually and collectively play a key leadership role in HPGM’s growth and evolution. HPGM serves more than 3,600 students and professionals annually in Wisconsin and collaborates with and supports more than 100 community organizations, corporations, educational institutions, employee resource groups, non-profits and small businesses. HPGM’s mission is to create a dynamic environment for Latino professionals to thrive by providing culturally affirming leadership development, mentoring, networking, and nurturing a network of support for Latinos in Wisconsin.

    Position Overview

    HPGM is looking for a Development Director (DD) who is passionate, strategic, organized, and adaptable. They are looking for someone with a proven track record of fundraising and/ or relationship management who is excited about strengthening and growing the HPGM fundraising program. This individual will serve as a fundraising expert and key relationship manager for HPGM, developing a robust and sustainable base of financial resources to support the short- and long-term impact of the organization. The Development Director will also work closely with the communications team and President and Chief Possibilities Officer to develop and execute effective donor/member communications, and marketing collateral.

    Essential Responsibilities

    The DD partners with the President and Chief Possibilities Officer to inspire giving that advances our mission and drives awareness. The DD is accountable for creating and driving strategies to successfully grow diverse revenue streams and for creating a culture of philanthropy. The DD also ensures high-quality stewardship for our members, donors, and partners, as well as leads on member recruitment, retention, and growth.

      • Work with the President and Chief Possibilities Officer, Board of Directors and volunteer committees to plan, execute and facilitate fundraising, membership engagement and retention, and stewardship strategies that yield the necessary financial support to enable HPGM’s strategic value
      • Lead fundraising and sponsorship components of HPGM’s largest signature programs & experiences, annually - HPGM Gala, Adelante Juntos and Fall Summits, Scholarship Program, etc.
      • Manage a portfolio of partners, donors, and prospects—individuals, corporations/employers, and foundations
      • Partner with President and Chief Possibilities Officer, board members and volunteers to identify, cultivate, and solicit potential significant donors to help meet funding goals for HPGM
      • Serve as the primary staff liaison with the Advisory Council and Fund Development Committee, and as a resource to the Board of Directors on all matters related to fundraising, stewardship and membership
      • Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed; Tracking donor/member engagement and retention rates, analyzing revenue streams, and making data-driven decisions that help HPGM achieve its fundraising goals
      • Manage grant writing and identification of new grant opportunities, electronic solicitations, grant/gift reports, and other fundraising support documentation
      • Set and manage progress to measurable goals for continuous improvement with member recruitment, engagement and retention
      • Serve as a leadership representative of HPGM and participate in media and presenting/speaking opportunities
      • Craft compelling donor communications and marketing materials that resonate with potential donors; Communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively in funding proposals, applications, and presentations
      • Collaborate effectively through timelines and project plans

    Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree from college or university and 5-7 years of experience in fundraising, business development, or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
      • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
      • Demonstrated leadership creating comprehensive fundraising and stewardship plans for various donor segments and various giving levels
      • Demonstrated growth in ability to manage projects end-to-end (concept to design)
      • Demonstrated ability to build and leverage networks to achieve the vision of HPGM
      • Demonstrated fundraising success with soliciting and securing major and principal gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations is preferred
      • Demonstrated ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions that help an organization achieve its objectives
      • Experience with CRM databases and Moves Management technology is preferred
      • Passion for advancing belonging in the workplace and the broader community. Knowledge of/familiarity with the Latino culture and the serving ecosystem in Wisconsin.

    The annual salary range for this position starts at $70,000.

    This is a full-time hybrid position with 10-25% travel. Ability to travel independently within Wisconsin is necessary for programming/events, donor and partner meetings.

    Position Overview

    HPGM is looking for a Program Manager (PM) who is strategic, organized, creative, and flexible. They are looking for someone with the ability to identify trends in the industry and adapt them to deepen program effectiveness and meet the needs of the community. This individual will manage HPGM’s signature programs and initiatives and will partner with the President and Chief Possibilities Officer and Development Director to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and funders in the community.

    Essential Responsibilities

    The Program Manager is accountable for the implementation and management of all HPGM programs. The PM collaborates effectively through timelines and project plans to execute high-quality, on-time, and on-budget programing for HPGM members.

    • Lead the planning, promotion, and implementation of signature programs including Board Pipeline Initiative, Cafecito con HPGM, Mentor Mindset, Leadership Summits, member socials, Scholarship Program
    • Maintain the annual program calendar to ensure alignment with organizational goals and resources, as well as desired member impact and outcomes
    • Use HPGM’s project management software to create and execute project plans for all HPGM programing, including logistics, communications, and content planning
    • Effectively collaborate with HPGM team and contractors on programming logistics to ensure high quality, on time, and on budget execution of programming and initiatives, including site selection, vendors, guest experience, etc.
    • Partner with the Development Director and President and Chief Possibilities Officer on raising funds for signature programs, including cultivating and stewarding donors and prospects
    • Serve as liaison with the Scholarship and Programming & Strategic Partnerships Committees
    • Lead ongoing program evaluation and data collection efforts to drive data driven decision making within HPGM
    • Partner with the VP of Operations to develop annual program budgets
    • Effectively manage annual program budgets to ensure responsible use of HPGM funds

    Qualifications

    Education and Skill Requirements: Education and experience preferences based on job-related requirements and consistent with business necessities, including:

    • 3-5 years of experience in program management, program development or related field
    • Bachelor's degree from college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Demonstrated ability to direct activities of multiple programs undertaken simultaneously
    • Demonstrated growth in your ability to manage programs and projects end-to-end (concept to design and implementation)
    • Demonstrated ability to build and leverage networks to achieve the vision of HPGM
    • Ability to work closely with various stakeholders in an efficient and expedient manner

    The annual salary range for this position starts at $60,000.

    This is a full-time hybrid position with 0-10% travel, inclusive of in-person collaborative meetings and scheduled time with the VP of Operations.

    Position Overview

    HPGM is looking for a Communications Director (CD) who is strategic, organized, creative, and flexible. They are looking for someone with a "Builder" mindset as they are in a growth phase and working to develop infrastructure. This individual will serve as the communications expert and leader for HPGM, developing and upholding a brand consistent with HPGM’s mission, vision and values.

    Essential Responsibilities

    The Communications Director is accountable for creating and implementing strategies to communicate HPGM’s value proposition to various constituency groups. The CD collaborates effectively through timelines and project plans, and produces impactful communications to drive awareness, philanthropy and engagement from HPGM’s members and the broader community.

    • Lead all organizational communications including strategy, content development and execution
    • Work with HPGM team members to create and execute internal and external collateral materials and communications initiatives that support and enhance HPGM’s brand message and image
    • Set annual strategic communications priorities, partnering with the President and Chief Possibilities Officer and aligning to organizational strategy, including setting measurable goals for continuous improvement on reaching and engaging various HPGM stakeholders across various channels
    • Develop and advance the thought leadership and voice of the President and Chief Possibilities Officer and CPO including speaking engagements, media interviews, media preparation, social media, and internal communications
    • Develop communications strategies that will broaden programmatic reach, deepen impact, and inspire giving
    • Execute digital marketing across all platforms - email, website, and social media - including development communications and member engagement campaigns
    • Serve as a spokesperson for the organization, providing clear and compelling messages to the media, public, and stakeholders
    • Partner with VP of Operations and Development Director to produce annual impact report, and other funder reporting.
    • Partner with the Development Director and President and Chief Possibilities Officer on fundraising and stewardship communications.
    • Serve as liaison with the Marketing & PR Committee
    • Partner with the VP of Operations to develop an annual communications budget
    • Effectively manage an annual communications budget to ensure high-quality, financially responsible use of HPGM funds
    • The role will also manage relationships with key freelance partners: graphic design, photography, and video production to ensure seamless execution of communications efforts.

    Qualifications

    Education and Skill Requirements

    Education and experience preferences based on job-related requirements and consistent with business necessities, including:

    • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, communications or related fields
    • Bachelor's degree from college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Demonstrated written and speaking skills in both Spanish and English is preferred, but not required
    • Demonstrated leadership creating marketing and/or communication plans with both internal and external partners
    • Demonstrated growth in your ability to manage projects end-to-end (from concept to design and execution)
    • Demonstrated ability to build and leverage networks to achieve the vision of HPGM
    • Demonstrated experience in writing persuasive and donor centered content

    The annual salary range for this position starts at $65,000.

    This is a full-time hybrid position with 0-10% travel, inclusive of in-person collaborative meetings and scheduled time with the VP of Operations. The ability to travel independently within Wisconsin is necessary.
