Essential Job Duties: Development Strategist
English Hudson strategists provide clients with a variety of consulting services including but not limited to:
- Fundraising strategy: Continuously learn, develop, and implement best practices in fundraising strategy; proactively share strategies with clients and act as a thought partner both internally and externally.
- Innovation: Continuously learn best practices in fundraising strategy to stay abreast of changes in the market, industry, and client’s organization – especially shifts and changes that impact fundraising. Contribute to forward thinking for improvement and tailor practices to align with EH’s core values.
- Client management: Manage all aspects of client work according to scope of work, including goals related to fundraising or other client deliverables.
- Content generation: assist with the generation of collateral when required, including grant proposals, reports, and other writing assets.
- Project management: Maintain client pipelines and management of deadlines to optimize workflow.
- Quality control: Provide first review of projects generated by EH writers to ensure quality and compliance with funder guidelines.
- Time management: collaborate with all EH consultants involved in a project to ensure on-time deliverables.
- Systems: Utilize EH systems and databases.
- Collaboration: Work collegially on all assigned projects with the client and the EH team.
- Culture: Contribute to a culture of feedback and collegiality.
- Research: Conduct research and compile/analyze data as needed.
- Additional Responsibilities: this role may encompass other responsibilities as needed to support the evolving needs of English Hudson.
