Climate, Sustainability, and Equity Project Coordinator

Position Overview:

Cascadia Consulting Group is looking for two engaging and organized Project Coordinators to join our Planning and Facilitation (P+F) line of business. In this role, you will engage in outreach and provide support for community workshops and focus groups. You will also assist in facilitating various climate and natural resource planning projects, as well as contributing to a variety of desktop research tasks. Examples of everyday tasks may include: 

• Supporting the facilitation and engagement of multi-stakeholder meetings, workshops, task forces, committees, and public events focused on a variety of environmental topics. Creating agendas, developing presentations and meeting materials, organizing logistics, taking notes, and maintaining a detailed timeline to support public meetings, focus groups, community workshops, and presentations. Creating written and visual content for outreach materials (e.g., factsheets, emails, website or social media content).
• Conducting desktop research, reviewing literature and interviews, analyzing data, and synthesizing findings into clear, compelling summaries, fact sheets, presentations, and reports materials for diverse audiences.
• Tracking and managing multiple deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Utilizing tools like Excel, Google G Suite, and Salesforce to monitor and analyze outreach and engagement metrics.

Qualifications:

• Commitment to critically examining your own cultural lens communicating respectfully and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical information including environmental impacts, city ordinances, and local policies with effective written and verbal communication skills adaptable to diverse styles and perspectives.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines, with attention to detail in a dynamic work environment and excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Commitment to working both in teams and independently to advance common goals, think creatively, use sound judgement to resolve issues, and produce high-quality work.
• Prior experience in the environmental sector such as waste reduction, recycling and composting, water and energy efficiency, stormwater and wastewater management, pollution prevention, transportation, and/or climate change.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines, with strong interpersonal skills to handle challenging situations with tact and sensitivity.
• Basic to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office 365 (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Adobe products and Google G Suite, with a willingness to expand skills.
