Humble Design is a nonprofit organization run by a small, but mighty, team of staff and volunteers that transforms empty houses into homes for those coming out of homelessness.
We do this through a cycle of collaboration. Our crew of dedicated volunteers and designers use donated furniture and household goods that we have gathered and organized in our warehouse, to personalize homes based on our clients’ unique needs and preferences.
Our services help to provide families with sanctuary, stability, and hope -- critical elements in ending the revolving door of homelessness.
Working alongside our team, you'll help sort and organize the intake and organization of donations, assemble furniture, or frame artwork and prepare supplies and furnishings for future home decos.
Days and Times: Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 10:00am-2:00pm
Location: Humble Design Warehouse, 431 W. Pershing Road, Chicago
If you’re a team player with a can-do attitude and an eye for organization, join us! In this role, you will clean, sort, and process donations to get them ready for our designers. You’ll have the opportunity to meet and work with other community focused people while supporting an organization that aims to change lives and communities.
