    Join the DMV Music Alliance as our Volunteer Program Developer and Coordinator! Your mission? Build an exciting, structured, and valuable internship program that fosters talent and meets the organization's goals. You'll work closely with our executive director, department managers, and interns to create a positive learning experience for all involved.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Design a dynamic volunteer program with clear goals, learning objectives, and exciting projects.
    • Collaborate with department managers to identify volunteer roles that provide real value and growth opportunities.
    • Develop program structure, schedule, and policies to ensure a seamless experience.
    • Partner with marketing to create eye-catching job descriptions and promote volunteer openings.
    • Screen candidates, conduct interviews, and ensure a fair and inclusive selection process.
    • Create an engaging onboarding process to introduce interns to the team and culture.
    • Facilitate networking and mentorship opportunities for volunteers.
    • Set up evaluation processes for regular feedback and performance reviews.
    • Continuously collect feedback to improve the program and stay updated on internship best practices.

    What You Bring:

    • Experience in program development, talent management, or volunteer coordination (a plus!).
    • Strong understanding of volunteer best practices and legal guidelines.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills to juggle multiple program aspects.
    • Great communication skills to build strong relationships with volunteers, mentors, and stakeholders.
    • A passion for supporting interns' professional growth and creating a positive learning environment.
    • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles to promote an inclusive program.
