    Descripción

    Therapy Volunteers is a nonprofit organization, founded by a leading clinic in Chicago, that brings life-changing pediatric therapy services to underserved communities across the globe. Our licensed clinicians provide high-quality therapy at no cost to families in need and partner with Autism Belize and the Ministry of Education to make a lasting impact on the community.

    OTs work alongside BCBAs, PTs, SLPs, and ABA therapists to support a diverse group of learners, including children with autism, cerebral palsy, and other developmental delays.

    Looking for an OT willing to relocate to Belize.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Planning for and providing targeted therapy for a diverse, pediatric population
    • Conducting assessments and evaluations
    • Provide home programming for parents and caregivers
    • Supervising students and volunteers when present
    • Consult with the Special Education Officers of Belize on client cases and lead trainings for teachers and various other professionals

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have occupational therapy licensure
    • Must be willing to relocate for 6-12 months
    • Must have previous experience in pediatrics
    • Must be qualified to supervise student clinicians
    • Must provide outstanding professional references

    • Cultural humility and the ability to provide therapy in a cross-cultural context
