To empower children and youth through quality education in English, Entrepreneurship, Labor Market readiness, Serious Game Design, and vital social-emotional skills. We believe that with the right tools and knowledge, our students can thrive in the 21st century!

    Position Overview:

    We are on the lookout for passionate English teacher volunteers eager to embark on this rewarding journey for a minimum of 3 to 6 months!

    Imagine teaching in the lively Pavão-Pavãozinho & Cantagalo favelas, nestled between the stunning shores of Copacabana and Ipanema. You’ll lead Conversational English classes for enthusiastic first graders up to second year High School students and run exciting extracurricular sessions for high school students. With a minimum of 5 to 16 hours of teaching each week, you will be the catalyst for change!

    In this role, you’ll receive essential trauma-informed lesson content, training in Positive Discipline, and constructive feedback to enhance your teaching skills. Join a motivated team of volunteers and benefit from the mentorship of our inspiring founder!

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Fluency in English (Native or C1 level) 🗣️
    • Experience in teaching English as a second language (ESL)
    • A positive attitude and adaptability
    • Patience, organization, responsibility, compassion, punctuality, passion, self-drive, flexibility, and a strong commitment to learning
    • Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills
    • A genuine passion for education and awareness of multicultural environments 🌏
    • Experience working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds is a pre
    • Embracing the philosophy and strategies of Positive Discipline
    • Availability for a minimum of 5 hours per week for 3 months at EduMais in Rio de Janeiro
